  • Are you interested in mastering amigurumi? These amigurumi crochet tips are essential for beginners to help you pick the perfect pattern, crochet, and assemble your first projects with ease. They will also help you lower the challenges you may encounter while they guide you to know what to look for in patterns before you actually purchase them. These amigurumi tips are things we wish we had known before we started buying patterns and crocheting plushies.
We've often been duped, thinking our plushie was one style of assembly, only to find out it was completely different. When you pick the right crochet pattern that meets your expectations beginners find more enjoyment and success in the process. This is especially necessary for beginners!
We will link to the various patterns and our videos that feature those patterns below.

Have you made any amigurumi patterns? What are some of your favorite patterns?

I have been crocheting since 5 (5 decades of experience) Animuguri isn't new it's been around for decades. I crocheted a bear out of cotton in the late 70's. The pattern was called Crochet Teddy Bear, lol. The yarns are new, and that is why people want to crochet suddenly, they are soft and the eyes you can buy are pretty. I have never had a problem with the newer patterns other than someone writes a pattern that doesn't even have a year of experience with the craft. I had one where I just ignored the stitch count and changed at least half of the pattern. It also was written in their own crochet language instead of how it has always been written. In my opinion and in my sales plushies that have sewn in limbs and heads always sell better. I think the reasoning is the details you can get. The limb placements in particular. Don't get me wrong, no sew and low sew are great for small cheap items, keychains, backpackk buddies, Mabels and the sort. But I have always sold the detailed mermaids that take a chunk of time to make and are double the cost of the no sew/low sew ones and will sell 1st every time. Because of the details. I am not a great lover of hand sewing either, but in some cases, it is worth it.❤ Happy Crocheting and Happy Easter ladies😁

Yes. In next week's video we show an amigurumi Teddy bear named General Ted E Bear that my mother-in-law made for my son over 20 years ago. It's still a beloved treasure. The new soft yarns are fun to work with and there are so many patterns. I agree with the details hand sewing provides and I am always looking for ways to embellish my items. If I sell any items I want them more customized and we plan to show that in future videos. Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful reply! Great to have you share your knowledge with the community. ❤
