Donny died.... damn brings back memories of the early ‘00..... A lot of stuff has went down since then and now.... but at the end of the day its the same ol same ol, and you can take that to the bank.....
Ah yes, back when hawkish interventionism and warmongering weren't presented by someone so crass that even an establishment show like SNL has to disagree. Simpler times. We'll return to that soon. For four years :)
SNL was only 'establishment' in that it needed ratings to justify being on air. Which meant for its fanbase that it was liberal. Capitalism. This was when Rumsfeld was not yet viewed as the absolute piece of shit he was.
The guy was partially responsible for starting a war based completely on lies/bad information and he knew the whole time, leading between half a million to a million people to die in the conflict. I don’t see why anyone would be sad about his passing
This skit makes me ridiculously pissed. The humanisation of someone who was a war criminal by fellow elite socialites, that can snap back to reality at any moment and declare such a jolting "live from New York..." harms my mind. These are the people that made Abu Graaib possible. When Rumsfeld gives an answer to an unwinnable question making him look like an adult in the room; my mind briefly flashes to the horror shrieks of an unknown women and straight back to the sketch instantly, like some broken film real. This notion that this man is anything short of a machine that grinds out humanity and outputs misery with the cold eyed stare of a psychopath, with just enough charm to make him affable to liberal cocktail circles, is frankly disgusting. He Patrick Bateman with a security clearance. The warped reality this man helped shape should have ended with him hanging from the gallows at the Hague.
What. Was. That? This is exactly how I remember the beginning of War on Terror. Poor Donald Rumsfeld harassed by liberal media with stupid questions about war. I guess, when it was time for Iraq, they thought to themselves "We can't look like those morons in this sketch, let's not ask to many questions about WMD". Mission Accomplished SNL.
Here after Seth Meyers on Hot Ones said he zoned out and Maya Rudolph delivered his line instead
Jesus, Darrell Hammond nails every character he plays. I wish today's SNL was half as good as it was back then.
Thunder Pussy They had crappy skits back then also. Those skits are just not posted here for everyone to see.
Not every character. He wasn't good as Bush Jr. and probably a couple of others. Don't know if he did the bad Schwarzenegger in Update
Jesus loves you a lot
I mean, today's SNL is.
Have you ever watched a full episode of the skits back then, like, now?
I keep coming back to this skit for the sole reason that i find Darrell Hammond's impression of Donald Rumsfeld hilarious.
impression spot on
Put the one where Rumsfeld broke into singing These boots are made for walking by Nancy Sinatra. That one was awesome
Seriously this guy is a legend he kneels every person he plays
“Isn’t that the same...isn’t that the same question ya asked late week?”
Well Donald, you said your worst regret was never meeting Saddam face to face. Now, your wish has been granted.
and hopefully they'll spend eternity rotting together. He wasn't just a warmonger he was a wiseass
They actually met in the eighties. There is a picture of them shaking hands in Iraq. Saddam was actually the US alley in the eighties.
With skits like this, isn't there a danger of SNL losing the support of the Afghan people?
Hearing of his death today, I had to watch this!
here after seth did his hot ones episode
Ducking awesome.
wtf bush is a reporter?
DANG Seth is young in this! lol
My goodness!
Hilarious to see reporters being mocked for asking questions about America's unquestionably successful escapades in Afghanistan
I never got the known knowns and the unknown knowns not to mention the known unknown knowns. 😮

Aged like milk.
Fast forward 2018 there was Sean Spice!
Omg 😆
If I closed my eyes, I could have sworn I'm listening to Sean Spicer.
But Melissa Mccarthy did it better.
Reminds me of Jen Psaki responding to reporters
Only in the US can a rightwinged troll make fun of even more trollish so called journalists.
Ted Cruz sent me here.

That's Amy Poehler? My God! What happened to her red blood corpses?
They died in Rumsfeld's wars.
Just heard of his death, so sad to hear. Rest in peace Donald Rumsfeld.
We had a party round my house. Sorry you missed it
Wtf do you mean sad to hear? He wasn't to far off from his parody
The guy was partially responsible for starting a war based completely on lies/bad information and he knew the whole time, leading between half a million to a million people to die in the conflict. I don’t see why anyone would be sad about his passing
you feel sorry for a literal actor and clown the US hegemony used to destroy lives. Good riddens.
This is like watching Trump against the media
Nah, Rumsfeld is a scholar and a gentleman compared to Trump, and way more articulate.
Back before SNL went full SJW.

shut up moron
Have a whinge mate
Facts
he’s right
Yup one must not forget how traumatizing 9/11 was. These folks walked the streets of New York and thus produced this some months after
RIP Donald , GOOD MAN
Rumsfeld is rotting in hell with Saddam.
Regardless of the person Rumsfeld is, he was always quite a dresser. This portrait of him does not do him justice, what's so ever.!
It's certainly no Steve Carell
SNL making fun of the idiotic media... back in the day.
Loren Michaels (jewish) pro-Iraq War propaganda featuring another jew rumsfeld, and all the "edgy" comedic geniuses play to the script.
Keep coping because jews have a higher intelligent quotient than your """"people""""

They make Rumsfeld sympathetic in this. Rumsfeld is the least sympathetic, most piece of shit human being ever
He's dead.
Great memories. Btw, Rumsfeld was 5’7”… draw your own conclusions about his abrasive manner. 😮
