I'm in the exact same position you were in! I've only been to Hokkaido once for the snow festival on a 2-week solo trip. This summer I'll be renting an RV and driving up from Sapporo through Furano, Asahikawa, and up to the northern coast with a close friend. I'm super excited. Glad to hear that you had a great experience.
Such a beautiful video! Hokkaido feels to me a lot more wild and adventurous than Honshu, and I love that about it! I hope you had a lovely time, it's been a well deserved break!
