As some one who was on that bandits teams, it's beautiful to see his dream come true. His father was there for alot fof us and helped anyway he could. The whole time we played peewee we were running the spread offence getting ready for him to go to UGA. This is the reason he left Brantley for Pierce county. The year he was set to come to highschool our head coach switched to a triple option. They knew he was coming and prepared and they still changed. I regret not being able to play football with him in highschool but I am not bitter because my family succeeded.
That greatest throw of Stetson’s entire life was all due to AD Mitchell. Give my man some respect! He’s not getting enough love. Respect to Stetson though, I’m glad he was able to bring a championship to Athens
Yeah it take two to tango for sure. Respect to AD but Stetson still made that throw after losing a huge, costly “fumble”, being thrown around like a rag-doll half the night by Bamas defense, and having the whole world telling him that he’s not good enough. I’m sure AD has had to overcome some adversity to get to where he is too, but damn Stetson went through the ringer and still dropped AD that DIME!!!
Some players just have that IT factor, and Stetson is one of those guys. I would say he is Georgia's Rudy, but the story is even better. He inspires everyone around him to play better and that is the best kind of leader you can have on your team. Georgia lost a record number of players to the NFL draft, but I believe they have a very good shot at repeating.

This is going to make one hell of a Disney movie or 30 for 30 special because this just doesn't happen in college football! He's the reason why you never give up when everybody was doubting you like he said you got to have confidence in yourself and you got to buy into something higher than you you put your faith in your abilities and your work ethic! The man in 2017 what's playing on the practice squad leading the scout team he then leaves and goes to Junior College and then comes back last year where he was thrust into the lineup because we have one quarterback that we had signed through the transfer portal he opted out and decided to go and train for the NFL draft the very next week we brought in j.t. Daniel's from USC and we had another quarterback that was ahead of him but he beat out the one Mathis and that Arkansas Game and never look back and he kept the Bulldogs afloat until j.t. was able to come in and take over the reins. When the first game of the season had ended we found out the j.t. had torn his lat muscle and that thrust Stetson back into the lineup. And from then on all we heard from the media was he's too small he can't throw he's this he's that. What is Stetson do he just kept his head down and shut up and he went on to win all 12 games that we played this season. Then here comes the SEC Championship yes that was not his best game of the Season that was actually his worst game of the season. Everybody started calling him trash although most of the fans or like why don't you put Jt in. This took Balls by the head coach to say know what we're going to do is we're going to stick with the guy that's giving us the best chance to win and he did it thank God for Kirby's doing this to tell the fans Stetsons my guy the players love him the team loves him and he gives us the best chance to win. The kid went on to become an all American and was highly drafted into the pros. He was the player for who the award for the best walk on player in the country is named. You know. Lifelong DAWG, and I'll be honest, I didn't think we had a prayer with Stetson Bennett. Yet all he did was go out there and win. Even so, if we hadn't had the defense that we did, and overall great team with skill guys everywhere, we wouldn't have made it to the Natty. What a great feel good story, though......... Stetson knew his worth, he had incredible character and work ethic, and his teammates supported him and believed in him too. Lots of people critisized Coach Smart along the way including me, but hey......they did it! BIG!!!!

So I truly hope he isn't a complete afterthought and castaway when training camps are all said and done. He also has another year of eligibility so that can easily help his case for 2023.
Stetson “The Mailman” Bennett as of right now is in my opinion the greatest QB in UGA history. From a walk on QB that played on the scout team transforming a good defense into a great defense, transferring to a JUCO team, then back to UGA on a scholarship where he was 4th on the depth chart, but then has to be brought into the very first game to rally the team for a comeback win and becoming the starter up until being hurt against Florida and losing the job to JT Daniels for the remainder of the year. Then the very next year he’s pushed down to 4th on the depth chart, only to again have to be brought in after JT Daniels was injured and from there guided the team to an undefeated season going into the SECCG losing to Alabama, but UGA still made it into the playoffs. Then in the playoff semifinals against Michigan he leads the Dawgs to a blowout win and is voted MVP and gives UGA a chance for a Natty championship against the team that gave UGA their only loss, yes once again the Dawgs would have to play Alabama, but this time he leads UGA to a victory and for the second straight playoff game and the Natty championship game he’s voted the MVP. Then this season he comes into camp as the starter and leads UGA to an undefeated season and a shot at another SECCG against LSU. Not only does he lead the Dawgs to a SECCG victory, but he’s once again voted the MVP for that game as well. So now it’s off to the college football playoffs again, and he goes out and twice brings the Dawgs back from 14 point deficits and gets the victory over a tough OSU team. And yes, once again is voted as the MVP. Now there’s one more game left for Bennett’s college career and it’s for the Natty championship. And if he’s able to lead the Dawgs to victory, he will make history as the first QB to win back to back Natty championships in the playoff era and first back to back Natty championships since Alabama in 2011-12. And only the the 7th team to do so since the 30’s and only the 2nd since the 50.

Lifelong DAWG, and I'll be honest, I didn't think we had a prayer with Stetson Bennett. Yet all he did was go out there and win. Even so, if we hadn't had the defense that we did, and overall great team with skill guys everywhere, we wouldn't have made it to the Natty. What a great feel good story, though......... Stetson knew his worth, he had incredible character and work ethic, and his teammates supported him and believed in him too. Lots of people critisized Coach Smart along the way including me, but hey......they did it! BIG!!!!

When Stetson Bennett started last year won those first three games I knew he was great then. A lot of people say he's not a good quarterback even now. I could just?tell he has that IT Factor

I wonder if the Atlanta Falcons take a chance on him if he's available when they pick him. Whether it's on Day 1 or Day 2 or even Day 3. He's an amazing person and even if he doesn't become a starter he'd be a great mind, and a great addition to any QB room.
I doubt he has any NFL career but I think last night earned him the right to latch on to someones practice squad
@@HarrisHighlights I truly see him being a 3rd stringer for years upon years. He just has an amazing spirit. He isn't just a folk hero at this point. So I truly hope he isn't a complete afterthought and castaway when training camps are all said and done. He also has another year of eligibility so that can easily help his case for 2023.

Stetson “The Mailman” Bennett as of right now is in my opinion the greatest QB in UGA history. From a walk on QB that played on the scout team transforming a good defense into a great defense, transferring to a JUCO team, then back to UGA on a scholarship where he was 4th on the depth chart, but then has to be brought into the very first game to rally the team for a comeback win and becoming the starter up until being hurt against Florida and losing the job to JT Daniels for the remainder of the year. Then the very next year he’s pushed down to 4th on the depth chart, only to again have to be brought in after JT Daniels was injured and from there guided the team to an undefeated season going into the SECCG losing to Alabama, but UGA still made it into the playoffs. Then in the playoff semifinals against Michigan he leads the Dawgs to a blowout win and is voted MVP and gives UGA a chance for a Natty championship against the team that gave UGA their only loss, yes once again the Dawgs would have to play Alabama, but this time he leads UGA to a victory and for the second straight playoff game and the Natty championship game he’s voted the MVP.
Then this season he comes into camp as the starter and leads UGA to an undefeated season and a shot at another SECCG against LSU. Not only does he lead the Dawgs to a SECCG victory, but he’s once again voted the MVP for that game as well. So now it’s off to the college football playoffs again, and he goes out and twice brings the Dawgs back from 14 point deficits and gets the victory over a tough OSU team. And yes, once again is voted as the MVP. Now there’s one more game left for Bennett’s college career and it’s for the Natty championship. And if he’s able to lead the Dawgs to victory, he will make history as the first QB to win back to back Natty championships in the playoff era and first back to back Natty championships since Alabama in 2011-12. And only the the 7th team to do so since the 30’s and only the 2nd since the 50.

Whole lot of people have been talking trash on the boy for a long time and right up to the end. Kirby saw something in him and stuck it out with him when everybody rode him like a mule. Two awesome seasons and two championships. Helluva team, helluva coach and helluva QB!

shows the difference between talent and out right determination, that was 1 determined young man, i was glad Georgia won, just because they were not picked to win, Alabama had more talent, by the middle of the 3rd quarter they were getting tired or just intimidated,

I was born in 2000 and my class is in their 5th last year only bc of the Covid year 2 years ago, or we’d already be ineligible after the end of last season. Dude must’ve been held back twice or started college 2 years late plus his Covid year
