Interesting video. I'd have liked to have heard the rest of the conversation. One thing though, you need to do something about the audio levels. The convo was low, so I turned up the volume, but the intro and outro music were so loud, my poor ears got blasted.

Since I've seriously started collecting, I like to get one of each. Almost invariably, one of them is always in better shape, so that becomes the collector's version, and the other is the reader version.

He had me till he compared the newsstands in 1999 to 35 cent variants. That was bridge to far for me.

I totally understand what he meant. It makes the hunt more challenging and some collectors are more about the hunt than the comics themselves. Reminds me of Golden age collectors that are always mentioning how few are on the census. I don’t care how many Hulk 181’s are on the census I just want if for the key factor not the rarity factor.

Yeh and a lot of newstand issues are not keys whiile cover (A) are keys so that’s why I buy only certain issues

Newsstands are not rare! During the 70s and early 80s all I would buy were newsstands because there was no such thing as comic book stores where I lived. I bought comics at my corner grocery store or drug stores when I could. It’s greedy people spreading that rare crap about newsstands.
