Okay, Dean. You sold me on this product at 2:55 in. Adjustable chime level. I was really hoping to re-use my LC7 , even willing to mutilate the factory wiring. I didn't want to spend more $$$ for another LOC type module. But I paused this video and read some reviews. I'm sold. Now I'll finish the video and I know you and Fernando will have completed yet another exceptional install. keep up the good work.

Throw in some budget installs every now and then, that way I don't feel so broke. It's ridiculous to have to spend 300-400 bucks just to even think about adding anything to your factory radio.
Just installed the AP4 GM61. I had a LC2i before and the bass sounds way better than the LC2i. I am waiting on the APH GM02 to arrive to connect my Audiofrog Coax and components to my JL Audio HD900/5. 2015 Silverado LTZ Bose.
Where did you hook up the RCAs on the ap4? It only shows one rca input for 1 to plug in not 2 since the other was “center”?

My amp turns on and off several times after I turn car off. I hear sub pop and looked lights turn on for a few seconds then off. Do you know why. 2016 Camaro Bose

Ive been looking for the same sort of thing for the VW golf7. Entry level radios use radio amplifier but all the Fender/Dynaudio upgraded use an optical signal to the factory amp.
I found the Alpine APF-H100D which Alpine developed with VW for the Restyle units to be able to be connected to Fender upgraded vehicles. Alpine admitted in an email it should theoretically work for any aftermarket radio to link with the factory amp.The canbus adapter connects to the brain from radio and converts signal to optical. I've yet to try the experiment. I like the European Restyle unit for Golf7 but I'm not a big fan of it's mirroring capability. I honestly can't say I like what Android is doing with third party apps these days. So Android auto is just a dead end. App radio 4 with unchained is great...but the screen size is atrocious... Any biggest thing is knowing there's a way to connect an aftermarket radio if I ever find one.
Maybe you guys could order an adapter and give it a shot.

I am confused why the PAC Amp was used when you have the DSR1. Isn't that redundant, especially when you don't use the factory amp for anything? Did you wire the DSP after the factory amp, and then it feeds the new amps?
So I understood correctly the amp harness allows you to use the factory speaker wires to connect to the new speakers and your aftermarket amp just connects to the wires from the harness and the harness also bypasses the factory Bose amp?
And if that’s the case how many watts do you think the factory wires can handle?
Why do you need the T harness and access to the high level signal if you have the low level outs from the amppro?
do you turn off factory EQ or just leave it ?
I installed this. When I use the gm02 harness I no longer get speaker sound soon as I unplug it and plug back up the factory harness sound is restored to all speakers. What’s causing that problem???
So does the T-harness on the back wall bypass the factory amp? A drawing would be nice.
I noticed it is for a up to 2018 GM vehicle. But, will it work with my 2020 GMC with bose? Or have you installed it on a 2019+ GM vehicle?

i think im gonna get the amppro for my 16 sierra its the non bose but i think this is the best way to get the best signal for your sound processor and havin the ability to ajust the chime volume right there so easily is awesome i been trying to find a t harness tho to tap into my factory speaker wiring harness but it doesnt seem like they make one you have to custom make it i guess like they did in the other video wish i had the part numbers for the harnesses i need to hack up into one
Question, I have 6 internal speakers 2dash/front/rear does the ampro activate all 6 internals? Also in this vid rca’s were not plugged into the ampro sub outlet. How are you powering your subs?
If I buy this pac will it stop my speakers from the popping noise when I turn on my ram? I see it provides remote cable to the amps and is also plug and play.
Hey , I love the videos you make. I just installed an AMP pro in my Sierra 2017 with Bose. Component jl audio c1 6x9 in my front doors. The sound was much better with the Bose system I have no bass in the door in front, I have the impression that I dont have full signal sent to my amp .Do I have to do anything other than plug the module

I’m having same issue! Remote stays on causing sub pop when truck is completely off.
Get a bussman fuss tap and run the remote wire off radio fuse
I have a 2016 Cadillac CTs vsport and I’m using the kicker key loc for my subwoofer, I have a wire harness from john adams from utube coming off the factory Bose amp that powers the key loc my question is this installs behind the radio do I run rca to the rear into the subwoofer amp? And is that it?

I have a 2017 Suburban with Bose system, which I am upgrading the audio system. I purchased a PAC AP4-GM61 and the PAC APH-GM02 just like in this video. I will be connecting my audio system to a Audio Control DM-810. I am planning to use the speaker wires from the PAC APH-GM02 to connect to the DSP, then connect the DSP to the amps. With that said, do I still need to install the PAC AP4-GM61 being that I won't be using its low level connections? and so, what would be its purpose and do I connect both high level (factory speaker wire) and low level (RCA) connection to the DSP? I really hope my LLJ Customs T-Harness does the same for my 2019 Chevrolet Trax lt to my Dayton Audio DSP w/ Bluetooth adding a full system components, coaxial and 2 8" subs with 2 amps all Skar Audio. 🤞
did it work? I also ordered a lli customs loop back harness before seeing this, since then I have ordered a amp pro and dsr1 dsp, waiting for my harness still and then will attempt to hook it all up

Say the vehicle doesnt have a factory amplifier, so the only connectors you have to work with are behind the radio, could you use the APH t harness alongside the Amppro to avoid having to cut any wires to get your speaker leads for the new amps output? Or would you just depin/cut the speaker leads off the AmpPro harness and go from there?

I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado that has a Bose Amp. I just ordered PAC AMP PRO AP4 GM61. My question is why did you go into BOSE Amp with the t-harness to test sound for speakers. I had a NAV-TV M650 Interface which was a bust that did the same thing as the PAC AMP PRO and I didn't mess with the BOSE Amp and everything work fine when NAV-TV M650 was working properly.
He bypassed the stock amp, used the wiring harness so he didn't have to run new wires.
Can this be used with a factory radio without a factory Amp

I have a ‘17 Silverado LTZ with Bose audio, and factory amplifier and center console subwoofer.
I’m looking to add two 12” subwoofers under my back seat. And keep the center console subwoofer, but leave the factory subwoofer how it is.
Could I use the single T-harness for the speakers, connect that T-harness from the factory amplifier to LC2i Pro, then connect to my amplifier that will be used for the two 12” subwoofers? And discard/put to the side the other T-harness connectors?
(Sorry for all the questions, trying to get everything I need for my install plus some info. I don’t like splicing wires, that’s usually my last option)

2015 Silverado with Bose -Will this allow me to remove the factory Bose amplifier??? I currently have a dm-810 / 6 ch JL amp/ mono block sub amp. I hate the high low inputs and could really clean up if I could take it out!!!! Thanks for the awesome video!!!
Had an installer add AP4-GM61 and Audison AP F8.9 bit amp in my corvette c7 and I have whining noises and interference from power seats running. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?
Unplug battery negative ; put dipswitch 2 in the down position (on position)
Make sure you are running the most recent pac GUI and firmware. Update if not.
Recalibrate the lowest volume level slider on Amp pro.
Re-connect neg battery cable and test for hiss.
You may also want to re-configure your Audison and turn down your amp gains.

I have a 2016 Sierra 1500 with the factory Bose with the bucket seats and factory sub underneath the front console. I want to replace the whole system with new tweeters, door speakers, and subs. I am keeping the stock head unit. I have this harness and also an lc7i. Do I need the lc7i or can a use this without it. I’m not very familiar with these kind of things.
Great tut. Couple question....I have a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Premium Harmon Kardon system. System sounds pretty decent stock but tell me..... does it make a noticeable difference adding the AmpPro with the T harness at the oem amp to supplement adding external amps to the oem HK speakers? What power rating amps should be added and to which channels? Don't want to fry the oem speakers if this is indeed an option. Chrysler advertises the HK as 19 channel system but they merely are doubling up certain channels that include mid range and tweeters. There is a center channel in the front of the dash as well. Also, would the AmpPro work properly installed in between a Crux Wifi Media Integration unit to the head unit ?

Dean, at 02:05 min mark you say that the PAC AP4-GM61 TOSLINK is an input devise? I thought it was an output devise, so that you could run it to a DSP in digital?

is the factory speakers big enough that it doesn’t need to run new wires? my audio control d6-1200 is 125rms, can i tap into factory speakers with out run new wires to the doors? i saw the speakers wires in the door on 2020 toyota camry is pretty small.
So they just replaced the factory amplifier and not the speakers?
I have a question, I’ve installed the amp pro into my 8.4 unconnect screen, I bought the t harness to the factory amp in my Jeep under the dash and extended the cable to reach the back where my amps will be. I have a total of 8 speakers, 2-3.5 in the dash, 2 4” in the knee panels and 4 in my soundbar do I need to connect all these speaker wires coming from the t harness to an audio control LC8i? I am also lost as to which speaker wires I now connect to the amp since the speaker wires are now connected to the lc8i. The amp I am using is a JL audio rd 900/5. Any help would be great. Having problems with mine. I have to reset it on every startup 🤦🏽♂️. No audio comes out unless it is reset on the actual device.
Hello, thank you for the video. Couldn't we put the Amp pro in the back? Like instead of opening the bezel we can tap into the harness in the back (right before the factory amp) in this case we don't need to run RCA wiring from the front as well. I'm thinking of doing this for my car. Thank you!
No it is made for the front
Can you use this for any vehicle with multi channel factory amp or is there vehicle specific settings that might prevent this? I like off label uses for stuff just to see if it works

Dean did I understand that you can use the toslink to the dsp and have a digital signal directly to say a audiocontrol dm-810 or whichever dsp you prefer that way you have no need to run rca cables to the front ?

Awesome videos guys, I love watching. I just recently did a full system pioneer install with the DEH-8800BHS and I'm wondering if I should go with the DEH-S6120BS instead. I am using a pioneer 5 channel amp with D series component up front and coaxial in rear + 12 champion dual 4 running at 2 ohm in my 07 Camry Hybrid. Also ran new wires bypassing all the JBL stuff. Any advice would be much appreciated. thanks

With this you cannot run active crossovers correct ? Only passive
You can do whatever you like. It is 6 full range rca outputs.

Do you guys ever have issues with the dsr-1? I have updated mine through Rockford Fosgate and maestro and the rca are not at the 4v preout voltage even when tested with a test tone.

For some reason your systems always sound like junk coming thru my computer Harman Kardon computer speakers. I'll work on my end. You work on yours. HEHE, nice work guys. I respect that you take time to do jobs neat and clean. I try to do the same. But time, money and having the right tools and doing it as a hobby (before doing it professionally in the 90's) sometimes (not always) gets the best of me. But if you have installed before we can appreciate the time and experience it takes to do an install right and why it costs $. If you get a cheap install price beware! If you hit on the right vehicles this helps us out so much.
