The Ortigas Centerlink project finished about a year ago and cut my commute time from Mandaluyong City to BGC and Makati by half. No need to get on EDSA anymore. It's a prime reason Ive chosen to stay living in Mandaluyong City instead of moving to Makati or BGC. Condo prices are half and commute times are just 10 mins, from 25 prior.

Should have happened shortly after MacArthur liberated some of the Japanese loot worth Gazzillions. Stolen from 12 Asian countries, most from China, it was buried in 175 caves & tunnel sites all over the country. But Philippines did not share in it. Hirohito & his gang, the US , the military industrial complex all shared in the bounty but not us. Now we face mass extinction. It’s too late , these projects just after thoughts designed to extract kickback from all the build build build.

If these projects are really in the pipeline, this video is an overly optimistic overview of infrastructure development in the Philippines. Realistically, we don't build-build-build, it's more like build slow-slow-slow and we don't maintain our infrastructure well. Anyway, I cross my fingers and look forward to another 50 years before these dreams come true.

The country will improve once Manila is decongested, more jobs are put in the provinces/other major cities and there is a low wage gap between the rich and the poor. Give this half a century (50 years) to happen. It takes this long because we need the old corrupt people to die first and the young people to take the reigns in making efficient changes.

Yes, pero sana mag-concentrate din sa gawing northeast naman like Cagayan Valley. Kung yung TPLEX umabot ng Rosario, La Union, which is around 210 kms north of Manila, Bakit di nila kayang gawin yung North Luzon East Expressway to San Jose City, Nueva Ecija which is just 155 kms, or kahit hanggang Cabanatuan man lang which is around 108 kms (same distance as Mabalacat or Capas). There should be an alternative expressway. About sa pondo, people may ask, matagal na nasa drawing board ang NLEE, pero lagi least priority. And kung makakarating ng San Jose City ang expressway, di na gaano mahihirapan ang mga umuuwi ng Cagayan Valley or mabawasan man lang travel time. remember, Nueva Ecija and Cagayan Valley are the top-notch rice producing regions in Ph.

We Filipinos don’t have a good track record of taking care and maintaining things. I live there and it’s a lie, the lifts and escalators break and are out of service for at least 6 months. They don’t maintain the infrastructure, don’t believe the hype. The traffic is from the busses and jeeps. However, on Edsa, they dedicated 1 lane for the busses now. Still have traffic though. Keep raising the prices of diesel (70 pesos a liter currently) and gas (65 liter) will do the job of taking cars off the road. Example MRT Ayala station during Aquino to Duedirty administration. Inflation has effected the country so the poor as usual suffer the most. Middle class take the food home to eat and not give to the poor anymore. Ultra rich car even lesser for the poor. However, the poors life is of their choosing most of the time.

Buses, jeeps, tricycles, and pedicabs are easy to reassign to other locations if there are less commuters who will patronize them. Their owners will survive somehow. But only the Government can facilitate the very expensive and big-ticket projects.
However, it is correct that local politicians don't want to spend their annual budget on the yearly maintenance costs of these projects once they are constructed. Those politicians should be voted out and replaced with people who have common sense.

NO. philippines is so small country the size of arizona. but we copy the US form of govt. and so monies are wasted. the members of house are not doing anything, some members of congress 240 plus???? senate 24?????are not doing anything, what pacquiao doing now???and others????sure they have budgets...spend it on their extra wives etc........same thing with barangays....philippines yes, is unique, other countries don't have barangays that is bec. the city council members, the police are enough to handle concerns of their populations like here in the USA ...but we (philippines) have extra expenditures poured into this small units called barangays, not only that, we have sanguniang kabataang barangays....what for?????as practice sessions so they can be a full govt. officials if they wanted for in the future????? None sense, all these monies are wasted and not concentrated on actual needs of the people like healthcare, country's securities etc. again, if you study political science you will understand what i am talking about. philippines needs to overhaul the govt. from top to bottom so the country will prosper.

The concept is fantastic but before long things will start to fall apart or break down because they don't have enough of the right technical people to keep things running. You only have to be here a short while to see how bad their power infrastructure is, how bad the water supply and lack of proper drainage and sanitation in some places that are medieval. I love this country and the people but their is no proper apprenticeship training for the hands on technical workers as they simply watch another do a job and within 6 months they are fully trained without serving 4 years as in other countries.

But discipline and strict role must above impose to Filipino until they practice it normal like the former mayor and PDigong done in Davao City that after 5 years both local residence and visitors to Davao well inform what role follow and obey the law. I notice that even Digong our President he used strong policy obey the law and there is transformation we observe and seeing it.
