I have to say that rewatching The Hills with Whitney and Timmy now as a 33 year old makes me realize how I see the situations and process the storylines differently than when it aired at age 18. It's amazing how experiences, life's lessons and maturity change us.
Same. I’m 35 and the way see the show now is so different than what I felt about it when I was in my early 20s. Back then it felt a little relatable, but now it’s like all I do is scream at everyone’s bad decisions 😂

watching Lo and Audrina have lunch, it's crazy just how glam they got towards the end of the show, compared to where they started. It wasn't just Heidi, everyone on that show changed so much.
Well yeah, you don't look like you did in high school lol. People grow up and change their looks, they also evolve with the time, fashion is constantly changing.

I'd love if Whitney did a podcast with Audrina around self-worth in relationships, and dug into the real push and pull of Justin Bobby. I believe these later seasons the tension was more fabricated, but I'd be curious to even know what the impact of her having to play this role had on her. The Hills is a great lesson in "what not to do / tolerate" in relationships, whether real or not -- solid examples of manipulation, gaslighting, you name it...there is likely an episode with a "what not to do".

The previous conversation Justin and Audrina had, he needed to make sure he still had an affect on her, thats why he was all ‘nothing is better than you’ and now this time he knew he had it so he started to distance himself again. I do feel bad for Audrina here, you can feel how much she got her hopes up. I think most of us have been there at some point

I think people are really underestimating the gaslighting and manipulation JB was doing to Audrina. She wasn't just magically desperate for a man who didn't love her. He fed her just enough everytime.

I constantly hear little songs and jokes from the Aftershow while watching these back. Or how they’d say one catch phrase on repeat.

Maybe everyone can’t relate to Kristin in these episodes but I recognize the vibes - transitioning from a no strings/the more the merrier person to all of a sudden turning 25 and suddenly really wanted a commitment.
& people not believing me and telling me I was not the relationship type but I knew I was changing inside. It feels here like that’s happening for Kristin.

At this point, Audrina was really dating "Corey" but production wanted the story line to keep going. She is such a tough soul to keep this up knowing that the public doesn't know the true story behind the scenes. She is much stronger than everyone is giving her credit for. She was soooooo over JB.
I dont think she was over him lol. The fact that they had to continue the storyline for the cameras probably messed with her head. Also, she was dating Ryan Cabrera at this point, not Corey.

In interview with KC she said that this with Brody was a set up for the show. Jade was in on it so this is and in the coming episodes is al fake.
I dont buy it lol. She was probably in cahoots with Brody but Jayde probably had no clue. That fight in the club was definitely real. You can tell with how intense and rowdy it was. Plus, Jayde's blonde friend was ready to throw down.

But Kirsten said in a 2013 interview with bethenny frankel that this (the break up en her en Brody dating for a second) was scripted for the show and that Brody and Jayde were still dating during this time periode. According to her they were all in on it. She did say this fight was also a set up during the interview.. Anyway...I do not know if Jayde and/or Brody also confirmed this...:)

Audrina and Los lunch is just still so weird to me. Part of season 4s whole storyline was the two of them not getting along. Now they shop and go out with no explanation (other than this being completely fake). How did I not notice this when I was 15??
So according to an interview with Stacie herself. She and Kristen‘s friendship began at the wedding. They really clicked apparently and she was puzzled why the show never really explained their friendship. Also she lived with holly too briefly.
