During the main story they could've let us purchase Paldea-exclusive baked goods while in the post-game, include foreign treats from other regions like Lumiose Galette or Shalour Sables from Kalos. I love these rematches since you get to learn a bit more about each Gym Leader and how they feel about Geeta. Gotta say, it's hilarious during Larry's and Ryme's rematches how there's still cheering during the Terastalizing bit, but there's no one actually rooting for you nor the Gym Leader. And a shame Ryme's stage isn't lit up for the rematch (nor the dancing little Greavard...too precious for this world). I loved how cool the stage looked during the original match.
I've been SAYING Geeta's team should've been all Paldean. If she started out with Glimmora to set up Toxic Debris, then Dondozo (with Liquidation, Earthquake, Body Slam, and Avalanche), Arboliva for Seed Sower and Terrain Pulse, Gholdengo since it's special and rare (with a moveset of Shadow Ball, Make It Rain, Power Gem, and Iron Head), Armarouge or Ceruledge (if Scarlet, she'd have Ceruledge; if Violet, Armarouge to troll the player), and a Terastallized Kingambit to finish things off (with moves like Zen Headbutt, Kowtow Cleave, Tera Blast, and Foul Play), she'd have a CYNTHIA-level team worthy of the title of Top Champion. The thing I love about Larry is how his Flying-type team is vibrant and the complete opposite of the vibes of his Normal-type team. His hair is the way it is not just to reference Normal-type with gray, but also, it's a flyaway in reference to his Flying-type Elite Four team

Geeta wasn't the one who forced Grusha to stop. Grusha did stop being the second-best snowboarder in the world after an injury. Grusha just doesn't want to lose the Gym Leader position since that's the last thing they're capable of doing where he can show his power as the injury prevents him from snowboarding. But you hit the nail on the head that he's jealous he's not in the spotlight anymore. My favorite Gym Leaders are definitely Larry and Kofu. Larry because he's Larry, and I like how wholesome Kofu is. You can tell he's passionate for cooking and battling, and cares about every person he talks to. Not to mention he introduces you to the auction at Porto Marinada which you would not have known about if it wasn't for the Gym test
I think Iono (however her name is spelt) is weird. Maybe it’s just that the hoodie or whatever she has on looks to be a bit big on her and the hair and Magnemite shaped clips in her hair

Something I've taken into account is while some Pokémon appear new in the Paldea dex there are Pokémon from other regions that originate in a region other than their own. Like Galarian Zizagoon is the original even though Hoenn Zizagoon was introduced first.

It's a shame that you can't re-challenge the gym leaders more than twice because I actually enjoyed battling against all of them in Scarlet/Violet. Most of them have cute and fitting personalities that works for them as a character, something that mostly isn't present in previous games as unfortunate as that may seem.
My favorite is probably Brassius because I just absolutely love his design and his personality (man needs to sleep) and he pops up in art class with my boy Hassel

My favorite gym leader is definitely Kofu, I like his chill, kind and childish personality. He's like a cool but strong grandpa. Larry's a close second though, the realistic and " has enough with all this work " attitude is kind of endearing, as in you want to support him, plus a lot of people could relate with that too, with being pessimistic and all. Also Geeta did not fire Grusha from his snowboarding career, it was because of his injuries. What he meant there was that since he doesn't have snowboarding anymore if being a gym leader is also taken from him then, he would have totally lost everything he's good at and cares about.
Well it is the post game so I feel like most people will have Pokemon to counter them at this point. They could definitely have better teams to deal with those counters imo 😬

Personally, I took down all the gymleaders in reverse order on the rematches, since, unless you're consciously skipping the gym-story, that's something you usually wouldn't be able to do. As for my favorite gymleader... I think most people are probably gonna give it to Larry, and he's great, seriously, stereotypical overworked businessman, but also a great, actually responsible adult. But I personally gotta go with the other probably popular choice, Iono. I just love her design and all the references to streaming way too much, and even her "hidden", more devious, calculating side. What can I say, I guess I'm caught in her Electroweb... I think all of them are really interesting characters though. Pokemon has done a pretty great job with its characters since at least Gen 7, I feel. On the topic of Brassius and not using "more Pokemon from this region"... technically, all the Pokemon he did use are, they're all native to Paldea. I get that's not what you meant, but at least from an in-universe perspective, I think it's important to sometimes remind ourselves that, just because a Pokemon was introduced in a certain region, doesn't mean it originates from there or can only live there, I mean, look at Pokemon like Alolan Exeggcutor or Copperajah. For all we know, some of these Pokemon introduced in Kalos that appeare in Paldea might actually be Paldean, or rather, since the regions are adjacent, they are common enough in both regions as to where you can't really tell where they originated, like with real animals. After all, it's primarily humans that define the boundaries of a region, not nature. And from more of an out-of-universe perspective, what'd be the point in having so many Pokemon in a region, yet having trainers not use them?... I have no idea why Kofu didn't use Dondozo and/or Tatsuragi on his rematch or even his first match though, they feel literally made for him. -Also, fun fact about Iono, there's an NPC in the northern half of Levincia mentioning how she's already "in the streaming business for a few years", and then questioning how old she really is... also going along with how she's actually taller than the player character when side by side. In general, as far as I'm aware at least, it's really not that common that Pokemon gives us any indication about an NPC-characters age beyond what can be gathered from their design. Or at least it's more than can be said for characters like Brock, Bugsy, Roxanne or Gardenia.- Lastly, I feel the need to point out the travesty that is Rhyme being considered the "2nd strongest gym leader" according to her description on the map before you challenge her, yet in terms of levels, she's 3rd, and I feel it's completely because of her doing double battles, which is somewhat justified, but I feel it would've done no damage to actually make her 2nd strongest in terms of levels as well. And especially after I misinterpreted those descriptions into thinking that Larry was supposed to be challenged before Kofu before... Rhymes actually spells out that she's supposed to be 2nd strongest, but she isn't.

All the Gym Leaders in Paldea are so unique that I can't choose a favorite. i wish after beating this game they would give us an option to replay the game but on a “hard mode”. maybe make levels a little higher, better moves on each opposing trainer’s pokemons. MAYBE Geeta could actually have her team in the right order. overall, i still loved this game and is definitely my 2nd favorite pokemon game!
