As a guy who lives in Japan: They put less fruit in the food because here fruits are VERY expensive. All kind of fruit.

Yeah I don’t live in Japan, but I visit often because I have family there. I’m somehow always surprised by the price of fruit compared to here in Britain tho, despite the fact I’ve been many times 😂
some of them fruits are so good tho 😭 i had japanese muscats once and cant stop craving. like i would pay that much to have their grapes forever instead of the regular ones. but i cant get them in straya due to dumb import laws, i hate this country

パフェもでかく平たい皿にポンっと乗せるよりあの細い容器に詰めてあるから美味しそうに見える錯覚なんよね

I love how they fold each crepe. Looks like an ice-cream cone. And also how satisfying the crepe making process is. Fills up the hole in the middle every single time! 😁
I am sad to report that they missed the hole one time at 3:00.

Oh my gosh! Those look so good! I love crepes and I would definitely love to try one if I ever go to Japan. My sister and I both love crepes and I remember when we were little, we used to order one crepe and then share it.

They wrap the crepes from the center where the filling ends, so there is filling in the bottom.

Just so people know, I think they put their cream just on the top so that it would be easier to roll it up and to make it look neat when it's rolled up... I saw some comments saying that those crapes only have a little fruits in there bc things are expensive in Japan. That's true but also it's because Japanese people can't eat sweet stuff too much

in canada, the crepes are filled to the brim unlike these ones..but at least you can finish these crepes in one sitting/on the go without it spilling everywhere. very cool

I don't get why you can't call it a crêpe, it's just a different kind of crêpe in different style - I guess it's kinda like how spaghetti bolognese isn't authentic Italian food because it was made in America (I'm not thinking about sth else right?) but most people still think it is...... *{a strange question just popped into my mind}* would you call this 'fusion'? Apparently, Japanese people tend to make fusion foods so like a mix between like maybe 2+ completely different dishes/cultures.....?
Oh, and also I think the consistency and hence the ingredients for the batter is slightly different which is why it doesn't need to be cooked until slightly/fully brown.
