My wife and I still split wood in our 70's. Most all the processors I've seen produces splits which would be a little too much for us to handle into the heater. The shop built splitter I use is MUCH slower, but I can split wood into manageable sizes.

I have been looking for the most efficient most buildable electric hydraulic splitter. I think I've found it, number six. 7:59
Quick cycle time, limited handling of the wood, handles the size rounds I have here, could build a loader for it to pick up from ground level, it pulls the wood back to recut like few do.
Anybody know who made this machine?

Great cutting but the split wood needs to be closer to a bin, back of truck etc to minimize handling and ease the overall level of effort.....!

ikr , like what the heck, this should be illegal. No commercial processing of lumber grade wood above x size.. To think they grind up trees to make fiber plates with. This just is not
      logical

It does not pay to transport it to Mill. Send your credit card number for fuel and I'll deliver them all day long... No? Ok then, firewood

That first one is crazy, that machine should not exist. You could slab that wood up and sell each slap for 20 to 60 bucks. You get like 1.5 cords of wood out of the whole log going for 60 bucks, you get like 6 slaps.

At 3:20 why did this guy throw that big chunk of wood down on the ground after he just lifted it up and put it on the splitter now it's in his way he's got to reach down and pick it up again just split it and why is he splitting everything so small these people must love to reload their which to me I put a bigger chunk so I can get in the wood stove so I don't have to come back and reload real soon these people must not have anything else to do they must not sleep at night either I just stay just love to reload that wood stove !

At about the 3:20 mark I wouldn't feel comfortable being close to all the moving parts while wearing the swinging, dangling name tags around the neck.

Ive noticed these machines r slow as shit 4 the cost! And they waste wood by create alota splinters! About 30%! Wen i split wood by hand 1\10 is spinter which becomes my kindling! And who the f needs such tiny piecs? Thats why mosta these machines r a waste of time and money
