Hey Mate! I am from the East coast of the USA and have been in Australia several times on executive protection assignments and i must say if i could, i would be living the dream running all over the outback! love all your adventures and i can't wait to see the next one. i drive a 2018 Colorado ZR2 w/ a Dura Max Diesel . took over-landing in the North woods of Main and had a blast. i am also working on a retro mod build of a 1978 FJ40 Toyota (LS1 w/automatic trany)which i got at the age of 22 now 62! if you ever need a co-pilot or want to visit my neck a woods just give me a shout and i am there! keep up the great work. Say hello to Shano.
Watching you drive shorty on 4x4action is the reason I bought myself a shorty GQ. I've owned the old girl for over a year now and I've set mine up very similar to yours except I've managed to keep the rear seats and custom some rear drawers to fit behind them. If I ever sell it I know I'll be forever chasing the feeling of owning a TD42 shorty.
Exactly the reason why I have my RTT folding out over the back, that little bit of protection when making breakfast or a coffee. Plus I can stop on a tight trail here in Sweden and get a good night sleep with little effort. ......Keep giving us these great videos'!
I'm glad I found this 6 year old video I'm saving it it's giving me a lot of ideas in how to set my two doors Nissan Pathfinder. We need an other run with SHORTY just for the Nissan fans.
I have really been looking for a video this real and just about the road and travel and this does all that in just one video. Graham sir you're amazing and real . looking forward for more travels with shortie .... may be one i'll do the same with my own shortie but importantly thank you for the inspirational drive.... cheers
as a young bloke about to get into 4x4ing whos also an avid photographer i cant say how much i appreciate all your work mate. id love to see more local (WA) videos . Cheers!
Watching your videos make me want to visit Australia. Wish we had Patrols. I had a 66 Patrol, I miss that truck so much. My 04 Xterra and 96 Disco are cool, but just not quite the same.
Im buying a straight six shorty tomorrow so looking forward to it after seeing this amazing video of what i can do to mine thanks so much for the video keep up the awesome work
Love this vid! Defs makes me enjoy owning a shorty of my own especially the 24vl imports! Gives me heaps of ideas to help upgrade an stabalize mine! Thanks graham!
Graham Cahill big fan of SHORTY. I got so much inspiration from shorty that I actually bought one myself and I love it . however I would love to see what shorty looks like this year in 2018. loved to here from you . I have so much respect for you , Shaun , Roothy and the 4wd action team . excellent job . i swesr I spend more money on DVDs then my registration each year haha. keep up the good work mate love your videos
Thanks Graham a truly no bullshit entertaining video. 4wdaction is becoming to commercial and i get that but dont have to like it. I do on the other hand love this and like you there are others Ronny Dahl, Andrew St Pierre White that do these great clips that are informative a just fun to watch. Just wants me want to go out and experience this great big brown land of ours. And yes the 200 is up for it also. Cheers and Thanks Eris. S.A.
This video made my night ! I miss seeing this old truck on dvds i have a td42 gq patrol myself and i love seeing content on them. If you start you're own dvd series away from 4wd action i will buy it for sure. loved the editing and presentation keep up the good work :)
Did the same with my old GQ wagon on the turbo side No intercooler running a denco on 10 psi only using the pre filter and it loved it never had an issue the old TD never let me down. Upgraded to a 06 st-s TD42
Love ya work, It was nice to see Shorty because not every one can afford $ 170,000 4X4s, Don't get me wrong I like their show to but your show is Real with working man's 4X4s , I love 4WD Action but you are 60% of the show , you are informative and funny at the same time Like i said love your work
My RTT folds over the back of my MK2 Pajero SWB, its great for a bit of protection while in the boot area. The cover just slides off in seconds so you can store it out of the way.
The special effects are nothing short of amazing Graham ! I just had Steven Spielberg on the phone - you may have heard of him - he's keen to meet you ! :P
Just a tip regarding the roof top tent, you should be able to rotate your cover 180 degrees. This would allow you to turn the whole tent 90 degrees. The cover then open towards the bonnet and the tent opens over the rear door providing shelter without the cover in your face
well Graham I like your channel idea mate, the roarer the better, your a likable bloke , you present your content well, that sort of stuff can stand up by itself without high end production , just me but I love your style....keep it coming.😎🖒
Sorry to hear about the ashtray Graham, hope it turns up! Also nice to see you making your own personal vids, really encouraging to see somebody else giving it a crack! :) Josh.
Gold! Great vid mate, Keep up the good work. ...and yeah, as others have said. Might be worth catching up with Ronny Dahl and Andrew Saint Pierre White(4XOverland) while you're doing the solo thing. Both have great TH-cam channels, have done content together and are in WA. Cheers.
Hey there, Love all the videos that you make and all the other guys. Love the down under! Hope to do some traveling there. You are always so funny. If you are ever state side Utah area, drop down and we will take you to some cool spots. I will link you my trip when it gets edited in May. Cheers mate Mike
I can remember when you first appeared in 4WD monthly back in the day when you were travelling around Australia with your lady - and you're still going - no TH-cam in them days!
I have a similar setup as you with safari snorkel and pre filter and before you go out and get a 4" stainless snorkel and air box do as I did and run it without the air box and snorkel. After testing / monitoring boost and EGT's on runs there seamed no gain to be had replacing the snorkel and air box I have. I found a nice front mount intercooler was a better investment and kept the old Pootrol looking more old school. What lift suspension are you running?? If you ever get over to the Vic high country again I would love to join your trip how about GQ's only trip.
Loved the vid graham! On my 2nd GQ Patrol and love customising and personalising it exactly the way I want! Would have loved to see underneath the car, particularly front and rear suspension. Perhaps in another video? Also would be curious as to how you did your door trims, mine need replacing. (ST model so there is electrics to bear in mind) Cheers, Cal
Nice work on the edit mate! We need to see if we can come over for a wheeling/beer drinking/camping and story swapping session. See how far we can get a rental ;)
Graham / Shauno / Ronny / Roothy
= One of the greatest if not the greatest 4wd video on the internet
Beast_ Mode maybe but, Aussie four wheelers bring some of the best footage if not the best
Beast_ Mode what about the All 4 Adventure guys too?? oh yeah

I love this old truck shorty is iconic in the 4x4 community now I have a gq td42 myself they just keep on going.
Exactly the reason why I have my RTT folding out over the back, that little bit of protection when making breakfast or a coffee. Plus I can stop on a tight trail here in Sweden and get a good night sleep with little effort. ......Keep giving us these great videos'!
I live in the u.s.a. and I love your videos. Love that you show what Australia looks like. I'm a 4wd lover myself.wish I could afford to visit.
That motto at the end. Great to see whats gone into some trucks. Wish i was in a country to just be free to roam the wild in my new truck
I'm from nz I'm not a big 4x4 enthusiast but this guy is definatly entertaining.
Always loved that little truck! Great to see you out and about in her again. 👍
