I watched it once as a kid with my dad and had actually forgotten about it until I stumbled upon it again, but this time I was under the influence of acid. The musical score freaked me out during my trip 😂 Still, a solid film

I think it was this movie I saw where the dude had a nightmare and it freaked me out when I was a kid. That's what I was looking for.
Totally my dad thought Charles Bronson was the ultimate action hero. I remember watching a few times with my dad. I was born a year after it released
This movie looks ridiculously underrated. Good story and amazing cast. Probably one of those movies that fell to fate to shade of the mighty oak.
I think many at the time felt having a white buffalo was synonymous with white supremacy and an assault on equity.
Honestly. That opening sequence with the White Buffalo charging through the Indian village in the dead of winter, it is just awesome. That Buffalo, I don't know how they achieved what they did, but that shit looks real.
But

And I'm telling you, that looks AMAZING. The job they did on that buffalo is a damn triumph. Everyone can call this a b-movie or whatever, but that buffalo charging through that village looks REAL. And that the buffalo is "otherwordly" only adds to that. Honestly. Watch that scene again. Absolutely wonderful work.
Carlo rambaldi was also involved with King Kong in 1976. He worked with Dino de laurentiis again on Dune in 1984, and Conan the destroyer, did the animatronic head of the monster god known as dagoth, while the monster is played by Andre the giant. Also orca the killer whale was released the same year, which explains Carlo rambaldi did a animatronic killer whale
@@inuyashason81 holy moly, Orca, i grew up on that flick, one of Harris' best performances.. like a modern day Moby Dick in reverse, that scene at the end and the song still haunt me
This is absolutely shameful, as are all of you for supporting this garbage, this trash. To illustrate, I wish I could create a movie about jesus, and portray a homosexual parody version, the story of forbidden love, where the son of "god" , a strict homosexual, had a forbidden crush on a bisexual Satan, who is not sure which way he wants to swing north or south this winter .. meanwhile jesus's "father's" in heaven resist but ultimately condone FINALLY the sweaty love fest, featuring light nudity and Alec Baldwin as homosexual Jesus. I hope that illustrated to you Christians or otherwise, just about how offending this film is to me. That traitor with native blood, the one who plays the role of blanket ass for you whites, may the spirits of the dead haunt him during his last days and beyond.
I don't know how my dad got me into the cinema at 7yrs old to see this. I am 54 now and still vividly remember the movie

My favorite Charles Bronson movie and one of my all time favorites period.
It gave me nightmares when I was a kid. First saw this movie at the drive in.
Fun fact: The white bull in this movie was inspired by a RL beefalo named Enterprise, born at the Del Jackson Ranch near Fort Lupton Colorado in the mid-60s. He was kept as a novelty until he was discovered by film crew shooting the TV miniseries ‘Centennial’ nearby, and was later rented for this film (although it’s debatable how much live footage was actually used).
After his passing of old age his head and cape were mounted, and can currently be seen in the lobby of the Historical Enders Hotel lobby in Soda Springs Idaho. :)

This is a SPOOKY movie! Great atmosphere. The buffalo is almost supernatural, otherworldly. As a kid, I thought it was an evil ghost! Brrr Heehee. Essential viewing. Then watch The Shadow of the Hawk (1976) for more chills. :)

I saw this movie with my dad in 1977. It left no impression on me after we left the theater. The movies KING KONG, BLACK SUNDAY & CAPRICORN ONE left big impressions on me after we left the theaters, meaning I never forgot those films, all of which still hold to today. . .

I'm surprised Will Sampson did this movie at all.
Don't forget, it may be a sacred animal, but it's still an animal. An animal that can be susceptible to diseases or viruses that can make it go mad, like rabies.

@@eldandonsmith5372 not necessarily. There are white bison that are not albino. Some are leucistic, causing them to have blue eyes like white tigers instead of ruby red. Either way it's a rare genetic condition.

Movies today are bad
How they heck does thins get bad reviews that average person is an idiot so figure what most people think is goos. This is one of the scariest villains I'm a movie. This got 25 outnof 100 like the new movie barbie is better this is 100 better than that stuoid movie or most movies now. I should already be famous maybe movie would be better again by now
