I started modding my 2014 rxt-x 260 from 260 horsepower to around high 300s. I couldn't tell too much of a difference until I figured out how to take the restricter off which was a pain. In my opinion just buy the 260 instead of the 300 they are basically the same.
for those who complain about a 300hp power jet ski overkill and the coast guard speed limit there something call a re flash like how the Japanese build a gtr with 500hp but its still limited to the 118mph Japanese speed limiter the manafacture build the craft expecting the owner to tuned it
I have a 2000 ultra 150, 3 cyl 2stroke and I have beaten these trash sea doos in races. In an 18 year old machine that cost less than half as much new 18 years ago. I’ve town 3 of those sea doos back now because they are really unreliable.

uh it still spools.. just quicker because it is mechanically connected to the motor.
