A couple other uses for reflex I've had: Saito on CB, turn off A2. Urticata on CB with all abilities up. use with counter attack or ally attackers if possible. You can turn off a2 if you have another poison sensitivity
Really like the deep dive champ spotlight, Ash. I'm down with seeing the Husk regear. He's a HP champ with 21k base HP, so you should be able to do a much more sustainable build or easier to put even more crit damage as you won't have to fight for decent HP.

Does he simply have low health or something? I really want my Royal Guard; especially because I'm trying to build a good team for that Demon Lord Clan Boss. Currently my team can only last 17 turns and I really want at least 20+. Maybe I should try to farm Spider for more HE jewelry as that boss keeps refusing to give me High Elf trinkets.

Is it worth it to book Royal Guard? I just pulled him a few weeks ago and only have him at 5 stars at the moment (with plans to get him to 6 when I have the resources); but with 2.3k attack, 100% crit rate and 210% crit damage (I have him in reflex as well and plan to use Flawless Execution to bring him to 230% crit damage) I'm already getting 1 million+ damage hits on Spider 20 with his Takedown ability. How much more overall damage would fully booking Takedown add?
Purely anecdotal, but you will do close to Ash. You have the same crit as mine, (but I use helmsmasher), I get between 1.4 and 1.5 million on spider. Pretty sure the damage% from the books is pure damage (then it's just dec defence, weaken, helmsmasher, etc that comes in to play). Was actually shocked when I saw his spider hit, so did a quick test, as it seemed so similar to mine haha.
FINALLY. Thx for video ASH. i got Royal 2 weaks ago and all videos that i faund was 1 year older whit dungeos lvl 20. If you can try to make more videos like this whit all good champions vs dungeons 24-25 and hydra. Grate job.
Perfect video! I was actually thinking about this myself! I don't have the gear sadly. My best reflex set is on coldheart, but one day I hope to swap him over as well. He's on my Dark Fae team so I'd still try for the 300-350 accuracy range in the build, but the reflex core would be the same.
After watching this, will you do a geartest on Shamael? I'm really curious if putting him in poison has value with all those hits on Hydra... or that the more common builds are way better :P
Hey ash can 2 kymars use seal of magic on eachother? If so couldn’t you put 2 kymars in a stun set and one royal guard in a stun set or just built for pure damage for crazy speed runs with boss killers for whatever dungeon you need as the other 2 spots?

Royal was one of my first Epics. Now I use royal in my Hydra Team. Does major damage. But watching this made me recheck my gear. I definitly need to regear him XD

As a player just reaching the midgame, things are starting to really slow down for me. My CB needs to progress and Royal Guard seems to be the most natural next 60 for me to improve big damage. Since he's kind of harder to build, what other good champs would you pair with RG to best synergize his abilities?

Built my RG with 270% crit dmg and hits about like yours 1.3-1.5M ish. My coldheart on the same spider 20 with 228% crit dmg hits for 1.7m+ no competition for coldheart imo for spider

I would do both, sometimes the "full version" (when you make some rare builds) and for the more common ones, cut it a bit... don't get me wrong, I like your 3+ hrs content! =)

Coldheart is better for sure imo. I don’t think it’s close, the turn meter drop of CH is incredible. But if you have enough support from the other 3 spots the ideal situation is using both CH and RG.

I have honestly never had any luck with using Royal Guard... can't seem to get good damage from him at all, even following your builds. And he can't stay alive in a fight no matter who he is teamed up with.
My current build is doing between 2.3-2.6M on spider 20. I do get a boost from BEK passive. But, even with 20% less would be roughly 2M damage. He is in some decent savage gear. But, not the best on my account. Just to note, I am a very low spender and only buy the $10 monthly gem pack. As always, love the video. 😁😁

Your auto fight on Hydra => 18 mins 13. It s really long. And most players have to manual it. And most players have to reload because things can easily go wrong. It s a bit sad that Hydra takes sooo much time.

Small correction -- re the enemy max HP ruling over damage (th-cam.com/video/9MygpzfN1mQ/w-d-xo.html) - even against spider 20 steel bowyers damage is better increased with atk+crit than just using the maxHP damage :p. Might be a SLIGHTLY different story in hydra if you dared to bother :P. Yes I'm still bringing up this not yet forgotten nerf of all nerfs.

Takedown's damage scales poorly with attack as a % of overall damage against bosses. Attack only helps with mobs

Do you not put warmaster or even helmsmasher for hydra cb? 20% extra crit dmg versus extra 75k-85k on most hits?

What about putting Royal Guard in the lead position when you're running with Shamael? More turn meter, more turns, more potential refreshes?

To maximize damage, you need a decrease defense and weaken in an Ideal scenario. But, the first step would be a decrease defense.

One note. For Hydra, it is better for RG and Husk to be in Warmaster than Flawless Execution

what you mean by taking down an ability? how do you do that
may ive missed it but does RG realy need ATT ? only move u want is the Max HP hit so theres no attack needed ..
His AOE scales off both enemy MAX HP and ATK so I daresay more ATK helps

Ideally you want to use both RG and CH, if only using one CH is better because of her turn meter drop in my opinion. For spider that is
