I love your enthusiasm! First time watching your channel, i had heard about your Dragon SAL. I have a couple of wips with dragons in them, 1 Long Dog and 1 2x2 Stitch Art. That Teresa Wentzler dragon you chose is going to be stunning!!
Congratulations to your daughter on her stitching. My kids would love that design...they are a fan of the Simpsons....lol....great job. I am getting my threads ready for the dragon stitch along. Quite the job...lol. I don't know the name of the pattern because it is in russian or something. I have had this pattern in my stash for years.
Even after 10+ years of stitching, one can still be missing a floss color. You can stitch older charts, newer charts, a variety of designers and still never need every color until you find that one chart to make you go “oh, I’m missing a color?”. Way back in the day I used masking tape to label my bobbins, now as I use up the old skeins, I replace with dmc stickers so I know it’s not an ancient floss…apparently I rarely use 814 and 945 (I think it’s 945…Mickey mouse skin tone…guess what I was stitching when I bought that lol). I somehow have 2+ skeins of each and after 20 years I haven’t used any of it up yet. I go through 310 like candy though. In January I just finished an old bobbin of 321 red and graduated it to a dmc sticker. A few years ago I got tired of missing colors when I wanted to randomly start a project, went through the stash, figured out (most of) what I was missing and grabbed those colors on sale. Even so, I still occasionally find a missing color because 400+ colors is a lot to keep track of. I’ve gotten to the point I’m able to pick up colors I’m looking low on, colors that need 2+ skeins for future projects, keep the black/white/greys well supplied on sale and rarely need to pay full price until you run out mid project unexpectedly. That dragon bag is fabulous.
I have a dragon to pull out that I started for my grandson. Time to find it and get going again. It has been a couple of years since it's seen the light of day. Have several that are nearing completion. Promised myself no new starts until they're FFO'd.
I have only just watched this Flosstube video so am way behind. I was born in a Year of the Dragon, so I have to start a dragon stitch in this year! So I've just purchased a Long Dog Sampler (Dragon Hall) and I'm excited to get a start on this before the end of the year. Thanks for the enabling!
ooh I feel hygge just watching your video, you are so full of joy and it speeds. New to your videos so Hello *waves* I might use my HAED so many Books so little time for your dragon SAL 😊 it's an old WIP but has 2 adorable dragons on it
Hi Samantha I am excited to find a dragon to stitch this year. Your dragon project bag is very cool. I might have to find some cool material and make something similar. Looking forward to seeing your dragon progress. ❤🎉🐲🐲🐲🐲
I've missed you Sam! I always find joy spending time with you❤ I started a companion sitting job back in August for a 97 year old who is very demanding. I recently had a plumbing catastrophe at my home. It took every dime to re-plumb. So life has been stressful! I'm just catching up to watching flosstube! Love to you and yours❣
Wonderful Flosstube! Thank you for hosting the year of the dragon sal. Someone commented on my last update that I should use one of my current WIPs for the sal and it was like light bulb! I had been trying to figure out a way to join, and I have like 2 dragon projects that I can use. So that was funny! What a joy to see you! Have wonderful weekend! Hugs!~Stephanie
Always a pleasure to visit with you, Samantha! I am really enjoying your 10-10-10. You are so inspiring and your enthusiasm is contagious! Thanks as always and happy stitching!
Another great video! Always such a joy to watch you talk about your stitching and Hygge! Thanks for sharing and I'm excited to see all of the progress for the dragon sal. Joining in with my pixel dragon adventure!
You seem so sweet and genuine. I really enjoy watching. Just found your videos and watched the first 3 for this year. Looking forward to watching many more to come.
As always I really enjoyed watching your episode! I love the portfolio you made with Erica, the one you keep Summer and Spring Quaker in and Spring Quaker looks awesome, can' wait to see it complete😊 The What Remains is Love project I also find amazing, but what stole my heart this time is your daughter's cartoonish project! Love it, love it, love it 😍Thanks for the very fun videos you make for us! Looking forward to seeing you again 🥰🧵🪡
I still haven’t found the dragon that I want to stitch, but as you said I have all year 😆 Your dragon stitchy bag is so adorable! Happy to see you! Until next time 👋🏻
Wow! I just love your flosstube! Fabulous wips! Stunning finish of a heart remembers! I hope you get it framed! It will look so fantastic on your wall! I finally started my first mirabilia on February 1. So exciting! I have her face all done🥰 I love her - September sapphire. I have two other all kitted but have not started them yet. Miss Chinese Blossom and Renaissance mermaid. I’m waiting for a few more finishes on my other wips before I start another. Thank you for sharing! Happy stitching!
No way!!! Thank you Samantha 😊 wow. I am overjoyed and grateful. I started watching your vid earlier today but then had to go pick up our son at preschool and didn’t get back to watching the second half until tonight. I’ll be reaching out. And as for that gold perforated paper … chefs kiss! Gorgeous. I also want to adopt your 10,10,10 goal. Most of my projects are at the beginning stage so I have some work to do. But your approach sure is joy-filled. I love it
Samantha, I continue to be so inspired by your positivity and enthusiasm! I’ve got my eye on Lily Maiden and will get serious about tracking it down now.
Lol, now I need to find a dragon pattern. Part of me wants to go right off the deep end and design one myself. This coming from someone who just started cross stitching in October. 😂
Great Flosstube, as always. I love seeing your progress on your WIP's. I like hearing your strategy and how you're tackling it. It's also nice to hear where you've struggled and how you've gotten past it. So inspiring. Your enthusiasm is contagious. I'm excited to follow your SAL. I'm hoping to join later in the year.
I do love your enthusiasm! I wasn’t planning on a dragon start. I did a dragon last year. But there are so many simple designs available right now. And my daughter-in-law is all about the dragons right now. So…. Hope you get in some great stitching. I May be starting something on February 10.
Just so you know, you Always create very fun, interesting and beautiful content for us and it is soooo appreciated. Thank you. Love your enthusiasm about Jane Hopkins. I know that feeling. I had it when I stitched Margarethe Sypkens by Sambrie Stitches.
My Hygge is stitching while listening to you! You always make me happy! I recently saw your dragon pattern in my local resale shop for $8.00…boy am I kicking myself that I didn’t buy it! I just didn’t think I was capable of stitching one of her patterns…but with your SAL encouraging me maybe I could have. Have fun on the 10th!
Hello from Tennessee USA! So..... Does anyone else see the yellow submarine the center of Jane Hopkins 1875? Lolol that's all I can see. 😂😂. Lovely tho and your project bag with the cats... Adorable! My hubby and I are joining your dragon sal on the 10th. So excited. You're definitely a hygge spot! ❤❤❤
Welp (i'm really far behind in my watching), I'm caving and joining the year of the dragon SAL. I found a great pattern on Etsy that when I showed my husband, he liked enough to say he'd hang it if I stitch it. :)
I definitely feel Hugo when I’m stitching with you in the background. You’re so lovely to watch so lovely to see all the stitching you make me smile all the time which is amazing I kinda understand your laundry day stitching because I do the same thing I put a load up move to the dryer stitch a bit folded stitch a bit and started all over ha ha ha the project bags dragons are so cool I really like the smaller one❤❤ thank you for the heart effort for putting Contant out and for your beautiful personality. Love you friend.😊
I'm loving watching your videos. I'm back into fairly regular stitching, making g a bit of time for it every day. I'm so surprised how there is literally an endless number of patterns out there to inspire us! From London, Ontario.
Wow 46 count is really tiny but from far away it looks like a painting. It is so beautiful. I give you credit for working on such tiny fabric. The Spring Quaker is so beautiful. My birthday is in August too and I just bought the Summer Quaker and I may start it on my Birthday which is the 8th. I know what you mean about the excitement in a project when you reach a face and you stitch the eye in with the eyebrows. I just did that the other day when I stitched my Indian Lady and I finally got both of her eyes in. She just came to life and I was thrilled. Now she can see me stitching on her. I know that sounds funny but it is true for me. Love how you are so organized with everything you do. Love the pieces you are working on. I am so glad that your daughter is stitching on something fun. It is so fun to watch children get into the same craft as there Mothers. Happy Stitching.
I've only been stitching for 3 years - and only a monogamous stitcher. However... you inspired me to start a dragon pattern, Ronald Spangler's The Reading Tree with two of him inimitable baby dragons, whilst I am stitching a Bothy thread height chart for my two young grandsons. Wow! I've crossed to the 'other' side:) Thank you for inspiring me to venture out.♥♥
FYI, it’s Randall Spangler. I only know this because I am a fan of his diamond paintings. I have completed Dragon in a Teacup and have several more in my stash. Enjoy! ❤️🇨🇦
I'm the same. I am a monogamous stitcher too. And just started stitching in January. But I have now started a few other projects such as a dragon SAL, a Day of the Dead skull pattern, but I'm stuck at the font, and the last one is a preprinted pattern from Amazon that my husband got me for my birthday. So excited to check out the hashtag for the dragon pieces.
Thank you for another great video. It helped me pass the time while I folded and put away laundry. At the very end of your video, when you mentioned laundry and stitching, I had to take a moment. Can she see me?! 😂 Thanks again!
I am a new subscriber to your channel and have enjoyed your video sooooo much!!!! I am looking forward to watching all of your previous content. Your dragon bag is glorious! What a lovely gift and friend you have!
Thanks so much for another great flosstube and also for the Mirabilia stitching tips. If you wouldn't mind and happen to remember for your next video, could you share how you manage the big paper pattern? How do you deal with the page break from the front of the paper to the back? I have one of the fairies on a scroll bar and ready to go, but I'm not sure about wrangling that big piece of paper...! I hope you have fun with your dragon stitch - I must not be a dragon person because I don't seem to have one in any wip, kit, or wishlist pattern, but I'll keep looking!
Hello!! I think you will enjoy the new video on how to stitch a Mira that Arica and I just released @fibersandflosscanada Thank you so much for watching and I enjoyed reading your comments ❤️

About your pattern from handsacrossthe sea, i am surprised you did not want to stitch the pattern with the soie d alger, or maybe you don't enjoy stitching with silk or the price also of course is intimidating sure...?

Enjoy your dragon SAL. Love your work. I spend a lot of time in a Hygge zone!
I did not know that about the Mirabilial colours. Interesting. Very happy that you like the mira that I sent you.
Thank you for sharing your stitching with us. So enjoy seeing your progress.
Your portfolios are so beautiful. I must make one too. They seem to be so handy.
Your Treasure Island piece is amazing. I can't wait to see it finished.
Great flosstube! I am doing dragon Christmas ornaments for Dragon Sal until my threads come for Star Dragon from Owlforest.😊

Enjoy your flosstubes. I have fond memories of living in Winnipeg as a young girl for grades 3 to 6.
Your Spring piece is so stunning! I am not a stitcher who can stitch on 40 ct or even 36 ct yet but that is so beautiful! 🤩
I love tiny stitching. Your Jane Hopkins looks gorgeous
I had the same idea, I'm starting lots of dragon patterns this year including The Castle by TW.

Hello!! I think you will enjoy the new video on how to stitch a Mira that Arica and I just released @fibersandflosscanada
Thank you so much for watching and I enjoyed reading your comments ❤️
@@HyggeStitcher Thanks! It's definitely on my watchlist!
One of these days I will do the spring quaker and the summer one too. Are there any others in that series? Looking forward to Saturday.
I have Jane Hopkins all kitted up but I'm intimidated to start it! It'd be my first sampler. Maybe it'll have to be my Leap Day start?!?
What a wonderful flosstube!!! You are always a delight to watch! I have a feeling your dragon stitch is going to really take off! Happy stitching!!!❤
I didn’t know that about the Mirabilia symbols. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful charts. Always nice to see your videos.
Your sampler is exquisite! I picked out my fabric for my dragon yesterday...in person...it is called rumbling thunder. Isn't that a fantastic name? I am looking forward to the 10th.
I love watching your videos, your enthusiasm and passion for the craft is just so heartwarming. Your projects are beautiful. See ya next time.
I'm very excited to start the Year of the Dragon SAL. Thanks to you and Arika for starting this up! I really enjoy watching your videos and seeing all the different projects you are working on! The dragon project and notion bags are awesome!!
I love your grime guards. Some lovely pieces thank you for showing them off.
Hello my friend ❤️ love watch your videos and your work ❤️
All of your work is frame worthy! You are a beautiful stitcher. You've selected really great patterns to stitch. I love the one with the large border and the basket in the middle and the dragon. I just started working on a dragon so I've joined the SAL? I think it's called? I'm still very new and forget quickly. The Ned Flanders WIP is awesome! Haha I love it.
I really enjoy watching your floss tube. You project such happiness with your projects and it makes me happy to watch you. I have the Jane Hopkins chart. I love it too. It’s so beautiful. 😊
I love your stitching!
Samantha, what if you charted the snowman stitch to say Wishing you the best WINTER instead of Christmas? You’d have a bit longer to enjoy it each year. The gentleman on the right side on the pattern of treasure island are not pirates they are the Queens Navy who were chasing the pirates in the story.
Precioso todo lo que haces, un vídeo muy ameno 😊
Frame your pieces. Buy a piece of acid free matte board and pin then lace it yourself . Then it is just frame cost.
Yay! Can't wait to watch this later 😊
I love your videos.
I have a few dragon wips that are full coverage. One Stanley Morrison and a few Randal Spangler's. And this might be a good time to start one of the Ink Circle dragon patterns or I have a few patterns from FireWing Designs. How old is your daughter? Her piece looks great! As do yours. Take care.
Hi from Quebec😊, I really love your portfolios, especially the one with Tilda. I just bought a few fabric from the Jubilee collection . Where did you get the pattern for the portfolio, it looks perfect? Thank you😊
If you need more of the floss for the treasure island let me know. I have the owl embroidery floss and don't think I'll actually stitch this entire piece. I'm in edmonton so shipping is no biggie
Love your videos! Where did you get the pattern for your folios?
I’m doing the silver dragon by terezy stitch pattern it’s blues greys and black
HOW MANY PAGES IS YOUR NATIVITY? I AM CONSIDERING STITCHING THIS PIECE. THANKS ❤
We’re do you get your grime guards from I would love to know. Thanks so much
The sampler is beautiful but l would leave off the name Jane Hopkins l would never stitch another person’s name on my stitching
About your pattern from handsacrossthe sea, i am surprised you did not want to stitch the pattern with the soie d alger, or maybe you don't enjoy stitching with silk or the price also of course is intimidating sure...?
Do you use a hoop or stretcher bars when you cross stitch?
I mostly stitch in hand! Lately I have been enjoying the use of a qsnap.
Do you ever stitch on camera?
Thank you for the suggestion!! Please pop over and check out my latestest video!! I think you will enjoy it 😊
