I have one of these. Mine's a 2007 Chinese made Jagmaster II model. Bought mine for £130 (c.$165) about 7 years ago. I really like it. It wasn't the best at staying in tune but the tuners rotted out earlier this year so I replaced them with Fender locking tuners and replaced the nut for a bone one. It's also had a new input jack. Plays like a dream now. I don't mind the stock pick ups either. I've thought about replacing them but they sort of do what I wanted this guitar to do, so I've left them. It seems to be going for around £330-£400 now for the Chinese made one (c.$420 - $509) and up to £800 for the Japanese made model ($1,018)!
It was listed as a jazzmaster and met the guy and bought it and took it home to get a good look at it and was like what the hell is a jagmaster so I looked them up on reverb and they’re outrageously priced, especially the vista series
@@CausticFox670 That's because people are starting to figure out that a short scale dual humbucker guitar with a strat tremolo would be a great combo. Seeing how it's a Chinese guitar it may need upgrades, but it's a great platform to start!
i bought mine back in 2008 for $175 used from a private seller. like new. still have it. i keep thinking about selling it cause i want something different but cant bring myself to even take the photos of it to post online lol
Why do all the reviews of this guitar ignore the tremolo? I'm actually buying one because 1) It's a Fender (even if it's Squire) 2) It's dual humbucker. 3) It's a short scale length. AND 4) It's got a strat style tremolo!! USE THAT THING!! WANG THAT WHAMMY BAR!! I already figure to change it out because it's probably a crappy zinc one, but sheeesh! Show us if it's crappy or half way decent or? Otherwise, I enjoyed the review!!
That's a really good point. I can tell you why I didn't - to me, it doesn't work too well. The short scale of the neck combined with the budget trem itself makes for a not very great experience. Swapping out the saddles (which I did) helped. Replacing the trem with a better one would also help, and I'd also suggest locking high ratio tuners. I might consider doing that, too - it'd make a cool video. Good luck with your mods and let me know how it works out!

The clean sounds amazing.
I've got a Jagmaster myself and it's freaking amazing !
You have a ValveKing AND a Jagmaster - that means you have very good taste in budget gear! Great stuff.
I bought mine off of Facebook marketplace for 75 bucks, the original owner put a p90 for the neck pickup and a Seymour Duncan in the bridge.
Damn! $75 with a P90 and a Seymour Duncan? I'd take that deal any day of the week. Great find!

I just ordered one of these. Paid well below what they are worth.
Awesome! It's a great little guitar.
I have that same guitar and they arent budget guitars anymore. Used ones are going for double what i paid.
Sad but true! The secret is out.
First🤘...rock on!
