I completely agree, the 2.0 update was an absolute downgrade. Not only did it make the game look bland but it defiantly took most of the fun away from an Angry Birds racing game.
I remember when Minion Rush was just one screen of levels all in different cool locations. Pretty sure you could use bananas to buy items and upgrades. Thankfully it hasn't been completely destroyed. But now it's a bunch of random rooms, you can't use bananas on like, anything, instead you get "Coins" for completing challenges and levels. You have to level up minions to upgrade their powers. Honestly it's not terrible, but man do I miss how it was before.

Rovio is on the way to become Europe’s equivalent of Nintendo. Nintendo refuses to port Mother 3 to the US, and these guys are refusing to return the older angry birds titles, expecting that we buy into more of their modern slop. They’ve grown apprehensive to preservation, and that’s the farthest thing from a smart business model you can have.
Rovio just ran AB Go into the ground with this update. There is no story, and no point to beating it. Beat Chuck and get all Karts (which are mandatory in 2.0) and you are done. They even messed up the CC System to near the end of the game you needed a whole new Kart for just one level then it's obsolete. To be fair, Classic didn't have a solid story to begin with. It starts when Red is wanting this Giant Cake which is supposedly a reward for winning this big race thing, so Red competes and recruits the other racers to help and once you beat chuck and that's it. Story done. No solid conclusion, and you only see the cake again in the tournament (I dont remember how it worked as when I reinstalled an APK version of classic, I couldn't get the tournament to work). That was the problem with Classic, no end game reward. Sure, you can collect all Karts, but that just delays the problem. They added Sub Zero, new special Karts and even a new racer in a collab, but that was all extra content. There is no challenging final race, and the only real challenge was when they added Player vs Player (which no longer works in the APK). 2.0 took what made sense and removed it. To be fair, 2.0 did make some changes I liked, like how your competitors no longer have special powers in races (other than Boss Levels) and it's faster to get all the Karts in the game (which are now required, so your favorite Kart is either now obsolete or Fast as f). Some things you forgot to mention were the removal of Slalom from Sub Zero, all the weird bugs and physics changes, and how you now need internet to play 2.0, which was weird as you can't play with real-world players now. If Rovio ever wants to bring back AB Go, it would have to be classic or something better.
I hate the fact that they removed the option to control the vehicle by rotating the device The arrows always have been a pain to me and rotating was more convenient

Angry Birds Go was is a nostalgic game for me. I remember having a blast playing the game when I was younger and remember it being pretty fun. Now just seeing this update makes the game look less fun and more bland. I was hoping on revisiting the game in the future, but I dont think Ill go back unless if they revert to the old 1.0 version...
Now it's getting more disturbing since Movie Red and Chucks have been added to Sonic Forces Speed Racing, another racing game but they run with their feet on the circuit.
I do not know if it's just me but I SWEAR with 2.0 they ruined even the control of the cart. I remember it 1000 more precise and accurate, now every turn results in a 360 turn leading to a crash.

This was the first AB game I had on my tablet (it was broken a long time ago). It's a shame that when I wanted to play it again, it was removed from the Play Store. I know, that I can download it on app websites on the Internet, but I don't like the online version. I mean, I don't mind playing it online, but that's what makes it unplayable, for reasons of not being able to connect to the server or something similar. And when I downloaded the old version, it also couldn't be played, because some of the specific features were only worked to the old version of Android. I'm really disappointed in Rovio's games right now; match-3, bubble shooter, pop-and-blast. Games with these types are already spread across the app store. Why are they imitating them?? Their classic game was famous for its unique gameplay and art styles, but instead they decided to remove those uniqueness and replace them with those 3. Racing game is okay tho, because it's actually exciting and fighting game too, but match-3 puzzle?? They must be fooled too often by mobile game ads.. (Sorry for bad grammar and sorry if this is off-topic).
as a person who played this game while it didnt forced you to play its story mode and actually let you play it online, i actually miss those trees on the left and right and your car being in the middle

I remember how mad I was when it was updated I had all the birds and pigs, chuck norris was my favorite. It was fun but 2.0 ruined it. and day two into 2.0 I quite the game.
I have personal beef with this update, since it ended up resetting everyone's progress from 1.0. I had literally JUST beat Hal in his race and unlocked him 1 day before the 2.0 update dropped. Then I login, and find that they revamped the game with its botched design and gameplay, and I never played it again.
@shaheerahmad3708 Well the thing is the game was extremely grindy when you got go the later tracks (expeccially stunt). I don't think playing the Same track 500 times before playing 1 race is good design. Obviously it is not as bad as the 2.0 versions.
