I don't think foreigners can judge, but it's not fluently. Just like "r" for Japanese people, Americans cannot pronounce Japanese perfectly.
But Japanese people don't make fun of it like Americans do.
I agree with Marty when he's saying the subtitle can let a foreigner understand meaning but its more enjoyable when Mayu sings in Japanese. She's more comfortable that way, she can focus on expressing the lyrics the way they're intended instead of worrying about pronouncing an English word correctly or if she's using it in the right context. She's gifted enough as a singer where she can communicate emotion through her voice to the point you don't even need to understand the words because you're feeling it.

Agree that is a big misconception here as singing in English is no necessary. Even though the effort is appreciated as was the case in Babymetal's "The One" performance all these years ago.

Hello and thank you for your comment. But proper technique to play guitar uses the tips of your fingers to push down on the fretboard. Fingerprint would be making a copy of the unique patterns of your finger. Law enforcement would take a fingerprint of someone.

The expression of fingerprints on the parts of the callus can diminish or disappear. That's loss of the fingerprint what they are talking about in the video. If you don't believe me, look up the word that is spoken ("shimon", 指紋) in the dictionary. Fingertip is "yubisaki", 指先.

Bravehearted by Lovebites sounds better in Japanese to me. It's like Asami's voice is less "restrained" and has more "room". I don't mean her pronunciation but her vocals. Something just sounds better when she sings that song in Japanese
Imo bands should never feel forced to sing in a foreign language.. Like Rammstein are one of the best examples, although it is far easier for english speakers to repeat German than it is with Asian languages.. I would say just make very clear vocal lines in certain songs that anyone can learn.. People know "Hello" and "Thank you" in a lot of languages because we hear it so often.
