Do I add the full dose to the 20 gallon reservoir when first adding Kool bloom, or just add the amount per gallon as the reservoir needs water? I'm thinking I usually add enough Kool bloom for the full 20 gallons right off the bat during bloom stage.

if you was mixing at eh recommended dose and your plants are in flowering you would water tot he point of complete saturation

agreed! This product was / is for growers growing gorilla growing. Were they are doing illegal grows and messing up the land by reverting water and creating irrigation in state parks using river water, letting it collect, they use this a a simple 1 part veg 1 part bloom. Easy to treck in long distance and really concentrated, they through this at the top and running drip over large areas. Not good for Mother earth at all. I don't like this product for how growers use it carelessly.
