    Hi, Katie! I’ve been cooking from scratch for my whole life, and I still learn so much from you. Scratch cooking is a whole new world what with milling our own flour and the availability of so many wonderful appliances now. It was me who asked about Aaron’s method of cooking chicken livers…thank you both for sharing! Those chicken livers are now on my current Azure order😊 I’ve frozen milk before but I’m wondering if I can freeze heavy cream as well? Glad to see you all feeling better

    Good morning Katie. I have been ordering large bulk orders of hard white and hard red wheat berries from Azure. Also honey, maple syrup, organic cane sugar, flour................ We cannot stop filling our pantries with long term food supplies. As long as we use, replenish and rotate, nothing goes to waste. Great Azure order! Hope everyone is doing well.

      Hi Colleen!! We are getting stocked up too.

  • @minnamae25
    @minnamae25 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    Just a heads up. If you enjoy maple syrup, get stocked up now if you can. Hopefully you will still get last year's price. Once this year's maple syrup hits the shelves, you're going to see a GIANT leap in price. Locally we was paying 48.00 a gallon for last year's stock. I was told that they are now charging 60.00 a gallon. That means even more for the folks that buy it in the store. Thankfully my husband put together our own boiling system using wood, OMG so much more yummier. I use right around 7 gallons a year, so we broke even after paying for the equipment and boiling our own.

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you!! It’s already $70+ a gallon at azure😣

      @@RowesRising y'all don't have maple tree's out there? All over here up and down the east coast. South has them but they don't get the freezing cold temperatures that's needed to make the sap that's boiled into syrup.
      I love syrup season because that means spring is around the corner.

    Intrepid and Amazing Katie, I hope this is ok to say (I'm reticent to complement people's physical appearance these days, as sometimes people find that offensive) but your skin looks SO bright & clear! And your entire face itself looks very smooth and healthy ☺The dietary changes you've been making are evident in your glow. I just started on collagen supplements and hope that helps my increasingly dry 36yo skin. Thanks for another great video, as always, and lots of love and hugs from our lil' 1/4 acre homestead in mid-MO! 💗

    When you shared all of Hagens food allergies, I thought, what are you going to feed this child?? But in amazing Katie fashion, you are killing it!! I’m more impressed than ever👍🏻 God bless you and your family ❤️😘

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well- I’m not killing it. Poor little lady had an allergic reaction yesterday to the fries at Chick Fil A- they cook them in peanut oil!!!!🤦🏼‍♀️ She was with her dad and he didn’t check- just assumed fries were safe. Within 30 minutes she had hives on her belly and a belly ache- antihistamines helped but dang! Poor girl- this traveling and finding safe food has been challenging on another level.

    Can you freeze Nancy’s yogurt? 1 cup of wheat berries or other berries ground to 1 1/2 cups according to Breadbeckers. I don’t think they pack it! I learned from them what I know about grinding flour and making bread with it! It usually worked when grinding and having the amount per recipe!

    In response to Monday's chat...If I eat processed bread..I bloat and the skin on my stomach area itches like absolute crazy...it all started after I had an extensive surgery where I was under anesthesia for 5 hours. That was in 2017...it has never gone away. I can eat fermented sourdough bread but zero processed breads..like the sandwich loafs I grew up with.
