Hey peeps, you know the drill: like, share, subscribe and all that good stuff! See you all on Thursday for TMEA livestream with Ding. Have a good one friends!
Been really enjoying these videos. I also greatly appreciate the treble clef part. I’m a SA Euphonium player so my ability to read Bass Clef music is extremely limited. Appreciate and excellent performance.
"What's up with that at 4:14?" you say, more like, "what the heck is going is on at 5:00?" I can't even begin to read that. let alone 4:14. keep up the good work matonizz. love your content as always!
Took me awhile but judging by that strange wire in the bell, your euphonium has an amplifier to get that overdrive guitar sound effect on your euphonium--based on your other videos when you had that sound effect on.
Evry time l open your brass Music it give me full put in inside. You never play wrong Always best sound. And nr 1Jesus in Holy Spirit is intakt when yo play always. Thank you all you give.solei deo gloria
Err... just off the top of my head 4:14. Loose vibrating lyre holder screw? What’s the cloth for? If you are getting leakage out of your valves, no too much of a step to consider air leakage at when paying loudly. Also a left field thought- vibrating springs. Btw. Great performance 😊 and I do love playing that piece.
Can someone buy me that euph also the sixteenth note triplets to the A was great I can play a high A with ease but I could never do something like that so clean
OMG I recognize that stage!!! I was there playing my euphonium for my concert band. I just wanna say I look up to you and want to be an excellent player like you
wow i was playing along with my euphonium and my heart was molted at the and beceuse its was so beutiful and in harmony ( please don't look at the spelling mistakes I have dyslexia a spelling problem )
Reminds me of rehearsing this in a small horn ensemble I was in during high school. 4 of us playing bohemian rhapsody, with me playing the leading part. Bloody hell I loved playing that! But that was pathetic compared to this performance!
He’s using what’s called a compensating euphonium where the 4th valve is on the side opuse to on the top with the rest, it helps play higher notes more smooth and cleaner
it slightly lowers the pitch when needed to make more notes in tune, since some notes on brass instruments are naturally sharp. It doesn't help for notes that are too flat though.
It’s a compensating valve - most professional euphs have them but more student/beginner/not professional ones have four valves at the top where the professional ones have three at the top and a compensating valve at the side
@@kaylamata3556 I saw that they were talking about the thumb trigger, but that is correct as well. I wonder if they make a compensating top valve Euph?
No they don't but they do make a compensating 3 valve euphonium, in fact I have it, it's a custom made 3 valve Besson New Standard. Will play it on one of the videos maybe sometime soon :)
You need quality instruments first. Then the correct mouthpiece, which will take years to settle on. Then there is the lifetime of lessons and practice, both by yourself and with ensembles. Thank you music teachers! Bravo!! Very well played my friends.
Still my favorite composition of Bohemian Rhapsody, as well as my favorite performer!
5:57 cough though 😖

Sounds like a tenor sax lol
thats because theres a tenor playing the same part
4:14
Can we just appreciate the trumpet at 2:03? It is such a beautiful solo from your trumpet collegue!
I never sounded like that sadly. Of course, it was more exciting to listen to me, anytime I had a high G or A, no one knew what would come out.
4:13 the moment everybody is wating for!
Been really enjoying these videos. I also greatly appreciate the treble clef part. I’m a SA Euphonium player so my ability to read Bass Clef music is extremely limited. Appreciate and excellent performance.
That’s where I learned to play too. Can only read Bass Clef playing bass guitar
"What's up with that at 4:14?" you say, more like, "what the heck is going is on at 5:00?" I can't even begin to read that. let alone 4:14. keep up the good work matonizz. love your content as always!
The different tone at 4:14 is because the Euph part is doubled by 3 Trombones.
At 4.14, it sounds Like a tenor Saxophone🤪 But Really nice! 😄
theres a string somewhere in there so that mixed with the euphonium might be it
never mind there just a tenor playing it also
Me: Fingering along and accidentally hitting pause on my laptop everytime I hammer Gb using air fingers lol. I really miss my Euphonium days.
Very well played ! Sensational !
That just gave me goosebumps!

I don’t think I could play triplets that fast 😂😂 however my grade teacher could do that with his eyes closed 😂😂 Keep it up 👍👍💕
You can see him hit the effects pedal just before 04:14…(he’s wired for sound).

Reminds me of rehearsing this in a small horn ensemble I was in during high school. 4 of us playing bohemian rhapsody, with me playing the leading part. Bloody hell I loved playing that! But that was pathetic compared to this performance!

OH Solei deo gloria
Bruh ya sound like some guitar 😲
What is that bottom button by the base of the instrument is that your using your right arm to press
He’s using what’s called a compensating euphonium where the 4th valve is on the side opuse to on the top with the rest, it helps play higher notes more smooth and cleaner
Hello, does anyone know the name of the instrument brand that is being used in this video? I would appreciate it.
Besson Prestige, however, you could find better options currently on the market, like Adams E2
Hey what’s that trigger for on your left hand thumb?
it slightly lowers the pitch when needed to make more notes in tune, since some notes on brass instruments are naturally sharp. It doesn't help for notes that are too flat though.
I didn’t even see that, it’s neat

04:14 is night. Solei deo gloria.
Kinda sounds like you opened up a spit valve haha
It's a pedal board that hes using. He shows it off alittle more in a earlier video
What happened to the prestige? Not a fan?
Vocês teriam a partitura ?!
Sounds like an electric guitar
What technique is the FX? Super curious.
It's a pedal board, he shows it off in a earlier video

this why euphs are the best instrament
Seems that you pushed a pedal then you pushed again to change it back. ???????
I can see your plugged in.
It's a pedal board he uses with his foot, he has a video on it showing off alittle more in a earlier video
isn't that just tenor sax?
Only beck instrument give me what l need. And special salvation favorit you play can not play wrong. Solei deo gloria
For lazy people: 4:14
He doesn’t play the whole part
Great brass arrangement but the percussion part doesn't seem well written.
Far out man. Stop fidgeting. Nice performance by the band though.
