@Scronix it's more than that, it wasn't simply brought about through random mutations, but natural selection, a process that's anything BUT random, evolution is NOT an accident...
Was at the beach yesterday and unfortunately found one washed up on shore. But when I was snorkelling next to the pier, they like to hide or glide amongst the seaweed, or sea bed. They're very spiny and actually fairly sharp :')
@@MENTY-B There is 3 species of sea dragon. Weedy Sea dragon Leafy Sea dragon Ruby sea dragon Weedy and leafy live in shallow to deepish water close to shore, in kelp forests and around weed beds. They feed on small shrimp and have spines for defence. They both are greatly camouflaged in their natural environments. They range from South Australia to Tasmania The Ruby sea dragon prefers deeper water and its red colour is good for camouflage. They have no appendages like the 2 other sea dragons.
@@deaganachomarunacathasaigh4344 Ty for the reply! Did you know that one type is as long as a Qtip?! I just saw a pic of that the other day-it’s always so hard to see things in documentaries/put to scale ykwim? So surprised to see how tiny it was!
I lovr Sea dragons. These.are very cute! But the Leafy Sea Dragon is also very nice! The thing about these animals is that i know they exist but every time i see a video or something else i am like oh my nature is just beautifull!
Watch only, please, as we humans carry a lot of dangerous bacteria on us and can endanger any marine life, not to mention the vulnerable young. Respect as we’re visiting their homes!🐠🐬🐳🐋🐠🐡
They dance all night and the lady impregnates the man. In the morning, Ms Weedy Sea Dragon swims away and leaves Mr Sea Dragon to carry then raise the (many) babies. Lol. It's so incredible.
That has got to be the coolest creature i have ever seen. It looks as if it were something out of a science fiction novel. That is so beautiful and majestic. I only hope that they do not become a Chinese delicacy.
Also, if evolution/origin of species is not an accident, then what is it? Deliberate and designed? Yeah, maybe you're right- it does seem that way doesn't it? Anyway, it's a beautiful video whatever your views.
WHEN I READ THE BATO BALANI SCIENCE MAGAZINE IN OUR SCHOOL AND I READ ARTICLE ABOUT SEA DRAGON,., I SEARCH THIS SEA ANIMALS IN TH-cam AND I FOUND THIS VIDEO.,., THANK YOU BBC.. I LOVE SEA DRAGON!!!
@TheEnchantedCereal Just to clarify a couple of things- Natural Selection doesn't create species, it refines characteristics to enable a particular species to adapt to it's surroundings. Furthermore, the process by which this happens is indeed by favouring the organisms that happen to benefitted from random gene mutations. I would agree that for entire species to have evolved by this same process seems absurd.
What beautiful seadragons - makes me feel truly inspired that nature has designed such whimsical creatures
The real beauty of nature! Thank you yet again, for another wonderful series, Sir David Attenborough!
You can actually see the baby sea dragons through the eggs. That's pure amazing!
The BBC & David Attenborough have created the most amazing programme ever.
This is so beautiful it made me cry

Me too, something about the music, and how graceful the movements are; so beautiful!
@Scronix it's more than that, it wasn't simply brought about through random mutations, but natural selection, a process that's anything BUT random, evolution is NOT an accident...

This video is showing us that fathers can be just as nurturing as mothers.
Lillian Griffin amen 🙏🏼
Eagle dads are very nurturing as well. They incubate, brood, and feed their young.
one of my favourite little things to see while diving. its good cos they dont just swim away, you can just pick them up again

Looking at this, I think it’s absurd to believe it’s all an accident caused by random mutations …
good old BBC.
Finding Nemo taught me so much about fish ;D
