Its so rare for those type of shows to get it right, but they got lightening in a bottle with this one.
Probably because they limited the usual drama and BS you'd find in most talent shows. The judges were the realest you could find, from the guest judges to Chance, TIP and Cardi. They did hip hop justice!

Salute, Havent even listened to this yet and I want to give love. I was just thinking of Smoke like 1 minute ago and I hit my TH-cam and the first thumbnail was this one. He is what music, hip hop and just plane what we need in this crazy world. I dont comment much, but when I heard his story I wrote about a 3 page letter off top just showing him and his family love. Im born and raised in LA-Cty, now living in the midwest and I get home sick... Im proud of you smoke leading by example guiding our kids in the right direction.
