I sometimes play rw to watch ai battle and experiment with them but when it comes to battle im pretty decent and I just send out basic units(no experimentals since they op and I like the traditional basic units in RTS) and for now I practice with medium ai. Any recommendations?
Holy.... I amplaying against impossible AI with my dad on my team, but I build the base yet they seem to detroy it after a bit. I do a similar setup as you did here... turrets, ani air, then laser sheilds. What am I doing wrong?
@@Vox777 It usually takes around 2 minutes for them to start to attack me, and then after around 10 minutes they start to bombard me with Sheilded Hover tanks, Experimental Tanks, and more support units like tesla mechs or artillery tanks. I build laser turrets and upgrade them, I build artillery, and I also build anti air of course, and then add 3 or 4 laser sheilds behind that, and then 2 or three repair bays. We actually start off with a 2.5X income and 50K money, just so the game starts and ends faster, we like to keep the games under the hour mark lol.
@@ziozvevo9751 The settings make sense, super long matches can be dull, as for your turret wall the best option if you can afford it are t3s, but t2s are a good combo with arty turrets to increase dps. Sometimes I put flame turrets in front to deal with light troops and soak damage, as they have a lot of hp (Counters shielded hover tanks because you can hit them while they focus a cheap and high hp thing) I recommend a minigun mech for this, as if you can get the shielded hover tank to attack something else you can kill it without losing your mech, Exp tanks are honestly harder because of their multitargeting, so I would just recommend trying to push in your mech while it's protected by laser defense.
Have you tried playing against an impossible AI bot with default settings (default starting income, default production rate, no extra/bonus units/buildings)? I've tried this many times while experimenting with different strategies, as well as different maps, but I always lose. I've yet to win a single time xD I'm starting to think doing what I just said is literally impossible. After watching this video as well as other impossible AI videos (such as AcElite 22's videos), I'm starting to think I would need extra/bonus money and/or starting units just to have a very small chance of beating the impossible AI. What do you think?
It should be fairly simply, I honestly haven't tried and will once I'm not busy. I would recommend just trying to keep a minigun mech alive to hold middle while harassing their extractor points with it or other units (maybe have builders place land turrets to kill their extractors)

I won once like that... I did the map he did, but the original version, and I rushed mid and built a bunch of T3 turrets, got a bunch of fabricators and finally spammed minigun mechs
If you got default try expanding to near resource pools for more resources and defend it so you get extra income that you can use to build a tough defense in your main base and keep defending till you got enough resources for strong units.

I once had played RW in a projector and I use a kinda broken PS 2 controller to see the surrounding. I use a mouse to tap things and this all is in the Demo/Original RW, the one that is free. I played in the 4p Lava Maze map and I just like made 2 independent bases that have everything to protect and defend it self and I meant EVERYTHING. The multiple Lazer Shield, all tier 2 turret and some tier 3. Both have Nuclear Launcher and Anti-Nuclear Missile. And this was in Hard and 1v4. I never played in that difficulty at that time. I first capture the Blues and defended that place very strongly. It kinda made a connection from me to the fallen command post. Anyways, I killed multiple enemies with my turret. No army can kill those two bases. Not with mods. This was vanilla RW and no cheating. It was fun and my proudest accomplishment

They can get countered but if you know how to use them they're a really strong unit, especially since they out range early game turrets (up to t2, and they out dps arty)

You might have figured it out by now, but on mobile you click on the building, and then either click where you want it or click where you want it, and then press the green checkmark in the bottom left corner (it has been a while). On pc you just left click the building and then left click wherever you want it placed.

Pretty sure it's based on where you spawn on the map, so to find a color you want just cycle through your teams spawns (1, 3, 5, etc). If I'm right you can't see until you join the match though so do it offline first. Note - I'm not sure about this so I could be wrong.
Yeah, I assume it's pretty significant to construct a large amount of experimentals with just 2 extractors though (and some fabricators sprinkled in occasionally)
Yeah, it's to counter the AI's boosted income production and production speed, which hurts more early game. You could probably do this with less but it would take longer.

Normally I make them target something I can stand to lose, if you force them to hit weaker and cheaper units they won't be able to charge up and deal a ton of damage to your pricey units

They got boosted income based off what they own though I thought, so the multiplier would be added to extractors? I'm unsure though
