Proud to be from Chitral Pak.. There is a small city with the same name Chitral, in India too guys...
Syed Irshad Murtaza and so what? “Chitral” is not a khowar word. It is used by the people of the subcontinent because they cannot pronounce “Chetrar”. Same way they use “Pathan” instead of “Pashtun”. So having a place in India called Chitral has absolutely nothing to do with Chetrar. Just the sounding of the word “Chitr” is not even present in the Khowar language and a speaker of khowar who speaks no other language other than khowar would feel awkward even saying the word “Chitral”. That was a useless connection you made and i’m trying find the reason behind it..

What I've said, has no connection with what you've mentioned. What I've written, is about an old small village in India, now turned to be a city named Chitral, like ours in Pak. I haven't objected about their pronunciation, nor I've said that it does have some connection with the actual local word or khowar language. Dragging these all in, for no reason with your hoity toity philosophy makes me feel that you r genuinely in need of some fresh air..

chiral and Kalash both are mountain cities in Pakistan. a world toppest POLO ground available in Chitral. kalash have a special culture as u see in women.
