Great Review, these budget friendly units are not to be ignored, I started with a pair of V6 for me and the missus and it was great. Now if we had open source Mesh like we have Bluetooth all our prayers would be answered. The only problem of course is getting Enough riders to buy into a mesh network. We have 9 riders in our group, 4 riders on comms (plus three pillions) and it just covers us front to back. The rest is just resistance to change. I put a com unit on a mate who didn't have/want one, he talked so much I had to turn him down 🤣
Very professional and thorough review Frank. It's nice to see a quality headset at a fair price. I like the dial on the side as well, trying to find buttons in gloves especially winter gloves not the easiest or safest thing. Thank You
Hello Dave, while I am not a fan of the plastic used, it does not look or feel premium, I cannot argue they do not work very well. Technology has come a long way, and fast for headsets. Cardo and Sena are really sticking it to consumers. - Frank
Thanks for the review. We currently have (3) of the non-mesh XGP units (the ones with the red coloring) and would like to get mesh setup instead so we ALL can talk. Did you happen to try doing (2) of these X10's in a 'mesh' with a 3rd unit (not the X10) added? Another review hinted that may work but would love if this could be confirmed. It would save me from having to buy (3) X10s which are currently on sale for about $80 each for Amazon Prime Big Deal Days. Thanks again, and ride safe!
Mesh-capable comms are most important to me. There are over 100 "Bluetooth Headsets" that work with two users. I don't ride in big groups. I ride with two or maybe three other riders. Cardo and Sena are top of the line for several reasons. They aren't perfect, considering how much you pay.
I have watched a few videos. None of them show attaching the unit to the helmet. what holds it to the side of the helmet? I did see the sticky one, that I understand. what about the clip type.
Help Scott, I have connected it via BT, which is not ideal. I do not see Cardo opening Mesh access to anyone soon. It took years to even get them to accept Sena! Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank
Us poor southern folks appreciate the budget friendly review of still well made products. Well done yankee!!
Hello Dave! I am passing your home on the way to the South on Wednesday, may want to get the raincoat out buddy! - Frank

As I have said, I might need one of these at some point and I'm a value proposition kind of guy. Thanks for the review

Great review Frank! I need a cheap headset for my grandson!! This sounds perfect!!
Did you just admit to heaping out on the grandson? That goes against the "Grandpa Code!" 😭 - Frank
@@OneOldManRiding at a very destructive 6, once a week, yea, I’m admitting to cheating out!!😂

This looks identical to the fodsports fx8 I just installed on my helmet
I looked on Amazon, but only see the Fodsport Pro. - Frank

Does it connect to other brand names? Thanks
