I humbly request to see the cue cards for this sketch
BOWEN: [mutters in Bri'ish caveman]
MAYA: [mutters Bri'ish cavewoman]
SARAH: [mutters in Frahnch cavewoman]
🤷🏼♀
Good luck. It's in Welsh.
underrated comment right here folks...err sorry...bloody ace comment here innit!?
Wuah? Unga bunga?
According to google translate, "Wuah? Unga bunga?" means "Wow? Flowers?" in Indonesian. The more you know :D
I have to admit, I don't understand this sketch. They're all just speaking normal British to me. That's how all of my friends from Liverpool sound like.
Is that the East London part of Liverpool? 😂
They are poking fun at the stereotypical British accents.
Of course all British accents are the same😏
I thought it was Glasgow
Wanna translate?
Stiff upper lip by Keenan was outright hilarious 😂.
"Bloody hot, idnnit?"
Yet another sketch he swoops in for 10 seconds and becomes the funniest part of. I lost it at his “small whimper”
@@cloudwatcher608 "...he swoops in for 10 seconds" and saves it!
Emmy award needed for best facial expressions in a comedy or musical.
He almost laughs!
The “WAAAAHH?” healed my depression 😂
I'm dead 💀😂
Good, keep on repeat
clearly you didn't have depression
@@cplcabs I actually do.
Remarkable.
I'mn British (from London) and I ALWAYS LOVE when SNL does a British pisstake.
I'm American and I would pay good money to see a Brittish version of this about the US because I have NO idea what that it would sound like. Someone please make this lol
@@prankgirl9112 reaaaal
As a British scientist, I can guarantee you that these depictions are 100% authentic. And for your information, "bloody 'ot, i'n it!" are exactly the same words I use whenever I arrive in Houston from London! 🤣 Brilliant SNL sketch! ❤❤❤
As a British non-scientist, I was troubled by the presence of a grey squirrel.
underrated comment
@@domb8448 or as y'all say, a squeer-ell.
Thanks for translating - I needed your help.
Give us more caveman sketches, SNL!
Prehistoric mick jagger is the impression I never knew I needed 😂😂
He's got his elbows in the wrong position though - seriously!
I need for him to be a recurring character. But like mix it with Quantum Leap and let the hijinks begin!
He was somehow still more sophisticated than Mick himself.😇
There was a Mick Jagger in the Flintstones movie.
Wish they did prehistoric keith richards as well 😂
"...and no one ever gets annoyed." LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I'm Swedish and I approve of these stereotypes. Hurdy gurdy.
😂😂
and a "inga dinga durgen" to you.
@@gibbsmSpurg!
hi there chef what are you preparing today...bork, bork?!
Hurdy gurdy gurdy gurdy gurdy... Gurdy!
(or how you would say in Africa, This is not my sandwich!)
This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I love it.
I agree. I had to watch it 3 times just to confirm it😆
I was about to say the exact same thing lmaooo. So dumb, so great
Oh you'll love Mr. Bean.
This was very old school roots SNL. Just silly and stupid, but extremely effective. Loved it!
At first the concept seemed incredibly stupid. By the end, I realized it was hilarious and incredibly stupid.
@@shipshap2364 Well incredibly stupid, anyway. The anachronistic sweep is astounding. The Angles and Saxons were Germanic tribes that invaded the British Isles maybe just a bit after caveman had ceased to live in caves. The Franks were also Germanic and didn’t develop French accents until the French language had been invented, a variant of Latin after the Romans conquered what was then called Gaul. This also happened just a bit after Cavemen had ceased to live in caves.
True ❤
the only thing making it today-SNL is this is one of the only accents they're still allowed to do.
British cavemen is such an old school SNL sketch it was so funny i love it!
This feels so old school I love it!
Mya probably wrote it
it was my first time seeing it. or did you mean old style snl. Keenan always make me happy and smile just to see he is in that skit.
If you are talking about unfrozen caveman lawyer, that was much funnier than this. Phil Hartman was one of the best cast members. Maya is also one of my favorites, but this skit just doesn't come close. I also think Ego is a good comedic actress and probably will (or should) be on a show at some point.
It is right out of 1994-1997, it's the GAME WE LOVE, YEAAAAH
I totally lost it when amicus mick jaggerus strutted on. I alarmed my dog with the ensuing laughter and concomitant tears.
Wonder what the beavis buttheaderis is like.
He was awesome!🤣
A page of "Drake's the type of guy to..." jokes hit that funny bone trigger for me a couple days ago and I couldn't stop laughing until I was choking and fighting for air...you just never know 😅
Nice vocabulary ❣️
I haven’t seen the word “concomitant” since I used to review pharmaceutical companies’ records for lawsuits. Lol
I HEREBY DEMAND A FULL SERIES OF BRITISH FLINSTONES!!! 😂❤
0:14 "....the whole Earth. Even the parts you don't normally think about". -Definitely written by Maya.
This had glimpses of Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer. RIP Phil. 🖤
I'm just a cave man..... Your world confuses and frightens me..
His was more subtle AAAAAAAAAARGHHHN 😂
If you liked Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer, you'd probably also like John Mulaney as Monkey Judge
Unfrozen Caveman Barrister to follow.
2:11 "She's interrupted by a peacocking young male from the Genus Amicus Mick Jaggerus." 😂
Noone mentions the narrator, here... bloody brilliant he is✨👌
As a squirrel I can confirm that this is what we look like impaled on a spear.
British Caveman had me crying-laughing from start to finish. It was stupid funny. 🤣🤣🤣
Cavewoman Heidi Garder was something i didn't know how much i needed until i saw it.
Only Keenan could do that stiff upper lip face lmao
Ego’s teeth were underrated
They weren't yellow-brown and crooked enough.
@@eld2310 I'll have you know we actually have better teeth than Americans.
I was waiting for the bad teeth stereotype to appear...
@@biegebythesea6775 "Ackshully! ☝🤓"
@@TheLordOfNothing That's not "akshully".
Even the caveman knew how to enjoy “Happy Hour”😂
1. Bill amd fred woulda been gold in this... 2. Chloe looks and sounds like she can nail a Russel Brand impression 🖤
Wait until they release the Australian cavemen 🤣
Might be tough. It would be about aboriginals.
They are still cavemen. Nothing's changed.
Isn’t that gonna be the same thing? Since British and Australian accents are similar, it would most likely be a retread.
We still sound like this on a Saturday night in London.
Urrgghhh ??
I hope some one writes a script for a "British Cavemen" movie. This is brilliant.
"Amicus McJaggerous." 😂 Sympathy for the Revel.
A lot of people in the UK are waking up and watching this sketch. What a breakfast treat it will be 😂
We haven't really evolved that much in the meantime tbh. Enjoyed this daftness!
This is just the opening sketch of History of the World Part 1.
And I thought Yanks could not do a decent British accent, finally you on SNL of all places have found a British accent that sounds and feels 100% authentic.
Great sketch!.
Doesn't sound English at all lmao
How did you both somehow manage to miss OP's obvious sarcasm?
"Cockernee" is easy to mimic
They missed it because they’re English.
@@ThatGuy-he6lc he's talking the pss, dodo brain
So dumb and also so funny at the same time. Loved it.
So I see Dick Van Dyke’s Mary Poppins vocal coach is writing for SNL now.
It's a jolly Holliday with Mary.....
SUPERCAJAFRAJALISTICEXPEALIDOCIOUS
Cor blimey guv'nor!!!!
As a Brit I think this is hilarious 🤣
British Caveman: "We be getting out of The Caucas Mountains with this one mate!"
😂😂
One of the best skits in years. Amicusmickjagrrus hilarious
"I don't know if you heard me. I said, 'Blimey.'" - K2
BLARMEY
Kenan is just at a whole different level all the time.
As a Brit I’m sad to say this is a prediction of the future based on current trends, rather than a historical parody!
True, all the west is reverting back to our cavemen days lol
It will be if those Just Stop Oil idiots get their way.
Oh my god Marcelo, Molly, Chloe, and Chloe’s “lines” were perfect
I’d love to see a British Flintstones now 😂
YEAH
Your'e right. That would be bloody brilliant!
Mikey is on a hot streak!
why was Sarah as the French caveman so funny 😂
This was by FAR the funniest sketch SNL has done in YEARS. WELL DONE !!! laughed heartily from start to end !!!!!
They just did beavis and butthead like 3 weeks ago man
Up there with Beavis/Butthead and the Nate Bargatze Valley Forge sketch.
AGREED!! Phil Hartman Era.
Dunking on the British, bringing Americans together since 1776. You love to see it.
They could have easily segued into a segment of The Californians. That would have been hilarious!
Yes
I love how Bowen and Maya move like they're in an RPG character selection screen. 0:27
This is so stupid that I'm a little embarrassed that I am laughing this hard
Totally. Are we allowed to call it stupid if we laughed?
Well now I know these comments are fake
Whaaaaaaa?
@@michaelroth6975 "I think it's terrible so it MUST be terrible and such everyone should agree with me."
As you should be
They still talk like that in Essex 🤣
Why was this so friggin hilarious 😆😆😆
This is what Guy Ritchie British Gangster films sound like to Americans.
Always need the subtitles with those.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Or really to anyone who isn't cockney 😅
Or really to anyone who isn't cockney 😅
Really?
Can Chloe Fineman do anything that isn't 100% adorable?
I'm British and I found this childish and offensive in the extreme. Bloody good show!
At least you did not get annoyed. Or did you?
@@spacealien6333Stiff upper lip!
I’m a Brit tired of seeing Americans do bad British impressions and jokes. This was brilliant 🤣. The way Americans say “innit” with an upwards inflection will never stop being funny to me 🤣🤣🤣. Quality sketch.
This is necessary for all eras imho.
Apparently Birkenstocks have been around for 40,000 years!
“He let’s out a small whimper”
Kenan: “eeweewee”
This is the funniest skit that SNL has done in the last 20 years
“Whaaa?” 😂
“Bloody hot innit” 😂
TH-cam gave me a "Translate to English" option at the bottom of this post, LOL
@@danielgehring7437 same!

I am British and this totally cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣
If those actors were actually British they’d be the most handsome group of British people in existence.
Good one
i just know that this was a bit they were doing in the writers room
I want to know who came up with it. It’s brilliantly stupid. And almost the whole cast gets a line.
This is so dumb but so brilliant at the same time😂
whoever pitched this sketch, you get it
How to tell if people in the comments actually *_are_* from Great Britain or not:
- Refers to themself as British? Definitely *_NOT_* from Great Britain.
- Refers to themself as English, Irish, Scottish, or Welsh? Definitely from Great Britain.
Remember - Every country in Great Britain *_HATES_* every other country in Great Britain. 😏
Great Britain IS a country, innit?
An accurate description of Brexit voters!
I would've thought they were Remain voters, becuase they're stuck in the past.
(And also let a Frenchman in.)
@@WorldNews92 If anything, it is the remainers who want to be stuck in the past and the traditionalism of the British identity. But as someone from EU, I have to thank you, since thanks to you, business moved out from the UK, into other EU countries, most noticeable France, so it was a win for us all. I for one, am not going to ever order anything from the UK again, if only because I will have to pay extra taxes if I would. And why would I want to do that, when I can order cheaper from another EU country?
Good luck with isolationism!
@@herlandercarvalhosilly comment.
The description of Keenan's caveman is also a description of him not breaking in skits where everyone else is in stitches
Most definitely the toughest member of SNL.
*They can do this for hours and no one ever gets annoyed* 😂😂😂😂
Yup, easier times!
holy shit the small wimper got me
They looking great in a silk robe
Agree!
🙌
😆
Who?
"Amicus Mcjaggerous "😂😂😂 oh my god
As a caveman descendent with 0.00043% half-neanderthal and earthling, I can confirm that this is hilarious.
This was so dumb. And hilarious! I love it! 😁😂
French caveman was the best part of the sketch.
I can confirm its very right after i live in Britain 15 years
This a sketch from 1975? Jesus
The way I giggled through this 🙌🏽😂👏🏽
The Mick Jagger 😂😂😂😂😊
Wow! Been a while since SNL made me laugh out loud. Nice job!
Lived in Europe over twelve years and shared an office with five guys from the UK. This is fantastic. If you know British culture, you will appreciate this.
This is up there with SNL’s Ben Affleck German coat sketch.
This most be the stupidest of SNL sketches, as well as the most brilliant one.
So stupid ,but i laughed the whole time😂.
The British language has changed much at all from those primitive days
These actors are doing a much better job of pulling off a British accent than any other US actors I've ever seen.
Thought that was phenomenal It's like if the Sims were British
So the premise was, “‘Make random noises”? SNL is doing great…lol
As a British man this is factually correct
The first words should've been "bloody 'ell" 😂
Kenan's "whimper" absolutely destroyed me!!
how did his lip TWITCH like that HAHAHA
This is legit stupid funny lol.
This is a weird observation but Keenan's ability to wiggle his mouth around the way he has for decades is a very odd talent lol
The thing is, a majority of current British population sound like this.
Bowen and Maya were vibing with each other but the amount of British accent the whole cast put into gibberish was impressive.
Amacus Mickjaggerus. 😂🤣
And British cuisine has stayed relatively the same since then.
This is so classic
Literally Geordie Shore 😅
Their cave-speak is fantastic, and I say this as a caveman. I woke up my sabretooth tiger with my many spirited unga bungas.
I can imagine this sketch was probably very difficult to execute 😂
