    Whoa!! The change in hoof landing and comfort in striding was incredibly improved! Super impressed! 🎉

    So great! You could tell this horse felt much more balanced. Having an uneven trim is like walking with a rock in your shoe.

    So smart to pause between hooves. Reconnecting with horse. Letting them come to you for comfort. And you taking a little rest too! Lovely to see you restore order and balance, and bring healing. Would love to know how long it takes the horse to know that things are better. Do they show what could be seen as gratitude when you have taken away their discomfort?

      This horse is not blind- its a fly-mask. They can see out of it- no, you can't see into it from outside (if in light-you can't see into dark...but you can see iplight From the dark). Hope thst helps

    Why did you take the heals down and not trim the toe? Will that cause an under run hoof?

    I must be honest. I saw a lame horse after this trim, we all did.

      Heels needed trimming because the were " above " the frog (cushen for landing). The bars are part of sole-if bars are too tall they will put pressure on internal structures-which causes bruising

      Man sieht es an der Reaktion des Pferdes, dass es ihm guttut. Und das Wissen kann man sich aneignen.

      @@RaniTannythe bars are an extension of the hoof wall and not part of the sole.

      Stop taking all the bars of off the foot!!!

    So interesting to think of every trim as a correction. It is a dynamic process. And that it can take 2 or 3 years of little steps to bring the horse to optimal condition. I hope your clients stick with you for that journey, because chopping and changing would play havoc with such a plan. Just how much could you trust another farrier to pick up mid-process? How do you record the process? Or is it all in your head and hands?

      And the really sad and frustrating part, is one bad trim can take you back years!

    • @sarah_max20
      @sarah_max20 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Not years, more like months…a BAD hoof can take up to 3-4 trims to start looking normal again.

      A whole new foot is grown in a year, it doesn’t take 2 or 3 years to make the corrections, more like 2 or 3 trims in almost every case.

      Do you mean the fly mask? They can see out of if, its made of mesh.

      It looks like a light blocking mask for horses with trigeminal neuralgia

      Blocking light for trigeminal neuralgia, makes Zero sense, I have trigeminal neuralgia, medication for nerve pain is ALL that helps @@knightsjourney
