The new Fear Factory record is great. And he'll be touring with FF (and the new singer) soon after the Soulfly tour. I hope he made the right choice for the person who has to replace Burton. It's certainly not an easy job.

The difficulties about releasing Aggression Continuum (that Burt used to name Monolith) and the battle to keep the brand FF alive are the only things I was thinking about in my comment. He also mentionned divorce and some health issue at a time. But I don't want to go further on these things, it's too personnal. One thing is sure, he's a worker and his music is a purely fantastic result !

Playing Fear Factory songs live during a Soulfly set is the only time we'll hear Max actually sing because he's admitted long ago that he doesn't sing.

Glad I saw Fear Factory on the Mechanize tour while Gene Hoglan was on board. Max was a lot younger when I last saw Soulfly in maybe 2006...

Look, both Max and Dino have deteriorated considerably in the past few years (decades?), there's no denying that. This doesn't take anything away from their legend status. They're both immortal legends and they can afford to suck at playing AND singing live, lmao

I love Max, saw him on stage in 1994 for the first time and then about 8 times with soulfly plus Conspiracy...He is a great music writer but is not a stage man anymore, this maybe for the last 10 years or so. What I see here is going nowhere, probably same for FF, my fav band between 93-99.

Max is not a replacement for Burton. Yes, Burton many times was not good on live sessions of FF, but he has a very unique style of singing. And Max is very different with his voice. I don't agree with Dino's decisions

Im guessing they are only playing the pre Rizzo material, Dino has never been much of a solo artist. Unless they are just skipping solos
They played a few that had solos but not a lot. I’ll post some of the others later. I hate that Rizzo left but was cool experience seeing Dino play for them.

Max really should retire, at least from live performances. Once you can't physically pull it off anymore it's not doing any justice to the legacy of material he's put out. No shame in saying "hey we're tired and ready to move on" 🤷🏻♂️
Max needs to have 2 guitarists, and then he can probably do much better with his vocals. I believe the reason why he sounded like shit in this video is because he can't sing properly and play guitar at the same time anymore.
@@trendmassacre8423 When I saw Cavalera Conspiracy about 10 years ago Max sounded pretty bad. He needs to retire just as any athlete would after a full career in a sport. I don't mean it as a putdown towards him. Just sad to see these bad performances and all the negative feedback that follows...
