The Bolter seems more lore-accurate and heavy-hitting in the first game. It's fun, but it feels like a pea shooter in the 2nd game, which makes no sense.
First game: Orks and a upstart chaos cult. Second game: Tyranids after the Oculus war with Orks and Tyranids, experienced chaos marines who have no heart to sever nor blood to bleed out. They could’ve added a piercing mechanic, thicker tyranid forms or hardened weapons/limbs being hit results in it not blasting through or exploding inside of it. Makes it better to battle those on paper but still a bad idea, but wasting ammo is also a concern. It would allow you to take enemy positions into play and to blast at will. I would just say a canon mode would make it fun to add these in. Imagine all those tyranids attacking at once with no limit- yes fully geared and a single mistake could cripple your next few hours of gameplay or make you restart.
I love that in the first game, you can see the smoke cloud from the bolt shells internal boosters kicking off right as it leaves the barrel (kinda like you’d see for an RPG). I tend to dislike regular guns leaving smoke trails in VGs because it usually breaks immersion, but Space Marine is the one case where it is actually appropriate. And looks cool af. It’s a shame the bolters in SMII ended up feeling like normal firearms… Correction, there is a smoke trail in SMII, it’s just far less noticeable. I think the other big difference is that the bolts seem to be way faster.

Looking forward to Space Marine 3….
In another 13 years.
@EJAXK13 just a small number in the grim darkness of the far future...
I don’t know how to explain it, but the audio in this video for the sequel guns is fucked up.
Yeah I'm glad I'm not the only one, because my guns in SM2 sound nothing like this. They actually got some proper bass in them lol
I will be making another video regarding this just all bolter comparision. Maybe it is the trials room or audio change.
Damn some of the 2011 stuff looks better than 2024
Brutally beautiful this gameplay
what they did to the heavy bolter was a crime
You should also put the bolt rifle because it sounds different than the Auto bolt rifle.
You want to hear cardboard stuck on a wheel?
Hi can NT vs imurah or marneus calgar vs imurah please
I think echo is lowered in sm2, thats why it sounds weaker
Poor guardsmen in the doorway getting hearing loss from all the testing.
He's probably dead already. Orks shot him.

As you can see folks here we have a gamer that is repeating the same thing for every game saying that the old games are good new games shit mantra.
