Between the amazing photography, the surf, the amazing soundtrack (just natural sounds), and the beautiful sarcasm of Ian Walsh... man, favourite video to date! Though it´s very hard to choose... this is the best surf YT channel, period.

I really can’t imagine! I surfed Tres Palmas in PR, 14-16 with occ. 18 ft sets, and was completely shitting myself. The way swell hits big reefs is SO much different. Different game altogether.
My uncle Jim Thompson and his homeboys found that beach back in the day. My uncle was married to my aunty Ipolani (born and raised Laie/Kahuku Girl) and they named da beach after their dog Maverick, and it stuck 💯🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 One Luv. Dis beach is Mayjah Fr! #OnlyTheStrongSurvive
Mavericks is such a short lasting wave going right towards the channel. It goes from a 30 ft drop that starts to open up but then quickly pinches itself off (not hollow) into a wall of white water. The average rider gets 1 turn as the wave dies out quickly near the channel. I'm trying to think of a wave similar to Mavericks in size yet continues breaking down the line for a much longer ride? Maybe outer reef Jaws or Wiamea Bay? I think that would be the ultimate - a wave with the size and drop of Mavericks with a nice long lasting vertical pitch even supporting tube rides at times. Big Nazare is another very short wave very similar to Mavericks (just bigger).
Just ask the owners of the Taco Bell in Hawaii to please carry the green sauce . I bet they will accommodate you . They just have to order it to be shipped.
