The theme of the lecture, Asante Culture and Heritage:
Past and Present, will reflect on events in Kumasi during the Asantehene's Silver Jubilee this year, including the Homecoming exhibition at the Manhyia Palace Museum and its genesis, as well as key anniversaries relating to the history of British-Asante colonial conflicts. It will also highlight the importance of relationships with international museums and heritage institutions in building new programmes for cultural cooperation and exchange.
The lecture will be introduced by the Kumasi-raised philosopher and writer Professor Kwame Anthony Appiah, President of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

This is beautiful and admirable. It is an awesome showcase of Asante tradition and culture to the world. Africa is not like what many think of it to be as home of conflicts, hunger and poverty.
