Only in some games, WP8 is very fluid and doesn't need so many resources to have a smooth performance, so in the performance you wouldn't feel it, but like I said, only in some games and apps

I'd say it depends on how much you value the WP8 OS. If you are the kind of person that is constantly looking for app updates or new apps, then I guess it is. The 720's battery is also slightly better. Otherwise it's almost a downgrade, as the 900 has better camera, internal storage and 4G (and in my experience is also more responsive).
I love Apple products, and HTC design, I love the new HTC one very much. I embrace good gadgets, don't even care about the competition between ecosystems and companies. And by the way, only westerners and blind girls buy Samsung, cuz most of them don't know about other brands.
You should try out other phones like HTC Samsung or iPhone. You'll have a much more pleasant experience. What I also recommend is for you to stop forcing your self to like Nokia.

I've got a Lumia 820 and i gotta say I really like the phone. Although the sharpness of the screen is a bit disappointing and it's very heavy... can't find much more flaws with it. Okay, could do with a bit longer battery life. But why do those wireless chargers have to be so damn expensive? For that money I can get one of the best electric toothbrushes and those are using that technology for years! 30 euros should be more than enough... but it's double that! Nokia make those chargers cheaper!
lumia. In next 1-2 years WIndows 8 with nokia will take first place on world market. Geting powerfull and soon will be much better than android : better stability, speed of work, posibilities. We must only wait for updating of W8

8x over lumia 720 → bigger RAM, 4G LTE, higher screen resolution at 342 ppi, 1080p video recording lumia 720 over 8x → slimmer body, better battery life, comes with nokia exclusive apps, camera aperture at 1.9, micro SD support, and much cheaper the advantage on lumia 720 fits me better. I don't care about the 512MB RAM cos if I want to play heavy games I'll do it on my console or PC. And the 4G LTE really depends on the operator availability. I hope it can help. (:

no need to charge for 7 - 8 hours, just charge until the battery bar is full. i just bought mine 2 days ago and the guy said charging for 8 hours is ancient myth lol

cause the 520 has 0,3" smaller screen
Thats what put me off the lumia 820 the shit pixel density and the fact I hate AMOLED screens as they suffer from burn in!
