Probably the most fun my kids and I had with the BB guns was with Red Ryder's !! Nice job !!
Awesome project! I got each of my kids a Daisy when they turned 5. It was by far the best gift I ever gave them. We spent hours every summer in the backyard shooting thousands of BBs. It's been almost two decades now and those guns are still getting use!

I like how you properly show how to spray paint. If they get too close, it runs. Hover too long in one spot, it runs. I like duplicolor for metal, and clear coat is vital.
From what I deal with, please consider not reusing BBs, and buying very good BBs. Umarex Zinc and Avanti will avoid breech jams and be accurate. The Ryder doesn't have good breech access like 25 or single pumps. A JAM there leaves you dealing with a compressed spring.
Please consider more elite BBs for your young warrior.
