Great side by side comparison. Thanks very much for putting it together. Imho, the b3k absolutely sounds better. I love that hard "glass on metal" ping sound it ices the tops of the notes with. Pure eargasm material.

Normally I use pick in these situation but with pick I am mediocre, while with finger I am much better and more confident, so I am always looking for advice about how to improve my distorted sound using finger. Thanks a lot!
Stefano Pessina Thanks! It has a lot to do with the attack of the fingers (and the use of a bit of compression) in my humble opinion! A pick is, in some ways easier to achieve an even and consistent attack (at least to me) so I try to practice dynamics (and getting "the chime", as Bryan Beller calls it) quite a bit when I play :)

Hi! I'd set it for a pretty high drive setting, blend at around 12 o clock and match with level so that you still have a nice clean fundament. Run it into an amp where you cut out quite a bit of the treble and boost the low and hi mids :)
hmm, i'm still not sure, like the b3k sound the most, but the splitted channel option of the ebs is great :0 btw i checked your channel - great playing and content! :D
Hacki I see your point - The BLEND function of the B3k kinda works the same way as the two volume controls of the EBS, actually. They are both GREAT and really versatile, so you'll be happy with whichever you choose :)

The first batch of the Billy Sheehan Deluxe-pedal had a problem with the unity gain (I.E: The pedal has the same volume engaged as disengaged), so maybe that is what You are experiencing? If so, contact EBS and they'll help You get in contact with someone who can fix the problem! :)
Ok, EBS told me how to test the unity gain and everything is ok, perhaps Darkgklass simply sounds higher than EBS, I don't know, but 2 great and very different pedals

Pat Orlowski Unfortunately, I don't own a Darkglass pedal in the vintage series.. :/ though, I DO have the M900, which basically has the circuits of the B3k and the Vintage drive built in.. so I hopefully I can figure something out! :)
The AO sounds absolutely amazing, even better than the other Darkglass pedals. Still very pricey though so Im having a hard time making a decision between that and the EBS BS Deluxe. I think the AO has them all beat so I guess when Im ready Ill just pony up the money for it.
inverted phase on ebs pedal sucks(NORM setting) ,sounds really awful to me ， who can explain why anybody want to make they bass sounds like it coming out of tiny speakers on kid's toys
陳緒超 I actually like that option. I use the "normal" setting for more of a "Sheehan-tone" that cuts through a full band mix easier when I want to play more lead-like things. And the Inverted setting is, imho great when one wants to get a more "modern" metal tone :)

Luke Gallagher Pretty insane! :) The EBS has got pretty big amounts of gain as it is in the drive loop - even when set for the lowest setting :)

Luke Gallagher Yeah, it CAN be usable - as long as you don't CRANK the drive knobs on both of them :)
