We bought a new 2021 SEL Today and I was wondering how much that part was going to cost because I could see everything was there.... Hopefully I can find the same connector on Amazon
@@robertozinga5973 I read in the manual that they say trailer brake controllers should NOT be installed on a VW Atlas and could cause failure of the braking system. Any idea why? Is that true?

It's probably the dealerships smh.
In my case the red tab was very hard to push down. Look at the new connector to see how the latch works.
They sure have increased in price the past 4 years! As well as everything else smh

A pain...best bet is to go for the Tekonsha trailer mounted ($300+) or the Curt ($200+) plug in the 7 pin.

Why do they call it a tie package? A tow package includes wiring harness. That's just a plain tow hitch. Damn VW
