Question: Do you prefer ipad or a regular computer for photo editing?

I prefer using my iPad Pro but it lacks features of the the desktop version.
This is the first guide I’ve seen working between Lightroom and ps 😁great work pal

Photoshop on the iPad Pro is a source of frustration when you know what the desktop version can do. Affinity Photo is a much better iPad app for quick field work. Desktop for any kind of editing is my preference.

I would love to prefer iPad, but the clunky workflow from LR to PS (which is how I work) makes it frustrating. Also, it would be nice to be able to add an image from LR instead of Photos or Files. I can’t understand why Adobe would not have made LR an option???

This is one of the best PS on iPad videos I’ve watched. Thanks for the detail and covering keyboard shortcuts, which I often forget to use when on the iPad.

Thank you for this video, you are one person who clearly shows that its not possible to open images as layers in Photoshop from Lightroom on IPad (and I have checked multiple tutorials). Clear and real-life photoedit examples.

This was such a helpful video, I have never used my iPad for photoshop&ligthroom, perhaps because it is new to me and no one ever showed me how to use it. Now I think that I will give it a try and see if I can do something like you have shown here, see how it goes. Thanks for this cracking video.

Fantastic Tutorial guess pretty work intensive for you to show us the iPad display so that we can follow but you did great and very nice that you showed your workflow between both mobile apps 👏👏👏
Maybe there is a way that the finger movement on screen will be shown through a ring or other symbol which would it make easier for you and us but already very nice :)

Andrew, where is your Apple Pencil? I love editing photos on my iPad Pro but cannot imagine trying to do it without the pencil. Great tutorial, thanks!

Great Video. Is there a possibility to export Photo Files (including raw) from Lightroom Mobile back to an exernal Harddrive via Ipad?

Can you do auto blend and auto align layers on the iPad version of photoshop? They’re two functions I’d have actually used in you edit example and functions I’d be using frequently. Looking to pick up an m1 iPad Pro for mobile editing purposes

    • @stewartlogie
      @stewartlogie 2 ปีที่แล้ว

No you cannot. You’ll notice that the layers are not aligned in the video, but the water disguises that in this example. Affinity Photo on the iPad does merging of focus stacks, panoramas and HDR. It’s a much better tool than Photoshop on the iPad. I would be very cautious about spending money on an M1 iPad for the purposes of running serious Adobe Photo apps. Perhaps an Macbook Air would be better.

How do you get the tools area to disappear when you are using a slider?

This is an incredible tutorial! Makes it so much easier but it hurts me that you’re not using the Apple Pencil 🤣🤦‍♀️ I love my pencil for editing
Nvm apparently you do have one haha

Thanks for watching! I know for the video it would certainly look better if I used my Apple pencil but tbh I just find I'm quicker without it! I do have to keep a cleaning cloth handy to get rid of all the smeary fingerprints though!!

@@AndrewLanxonPhotography yeah I saw later on in the video haha I just can't see around my fat stubby fingers so I personally find the pencil gives me more precision
