There’s a reason why in Orlando they e been leaning more towards being called “Universal Orlando” and the one in Hollywood is called “Universal STUDIOS Hollywood”. Hollywood’s park was a studio lot first and continues to be a working lot along with its history. That’s the main draw to Hollywood’s park. If you want rides, then yeah, Orlando’s park will be your best bet. It was purposely made to be a theme park.

What you were seeing on the horizon wasn’t smog. That is moisture being trapped in the mornings. Smog sits higher up.
