Like you cannot know or understand happiness if you have not experienced sadness. Similarly without ignorance (tamas) there is no way to understand knowledge (rajasic) that leads to wisdom( satvic) which again leads to enlightenment (God). Like every radio channel has a frequency every human being according to his state of mind (satvic, rajasic, tamasic) have or get attracted to that frequency dities ( satvic, rajasic, tamasic). These dieties act as mentors dealing students of different capacity, interest and taste to lift them from darkness to light.

@@laxmikantsharma4303 True, That's basic definition. It's an intermediate state between darkness and light. When you become wise there is no addiction or attachment to anything or anyone. There is a journey from knowledge to wisdom, from "know it all" to "I know that I don't know everything" which is again different from Tamas which is complete ignorance.🙏

Sadhvi shared a wrong information here.....that Lord Vishnu is rajsik deity......
    According to Hindu scriptures...
    Lord Vishnu represents satva
    Lord bramha represents rajas
    Lord Shiva represents tamas
That's why all asuras or demons always worshipped Shiva or Brahma and got boons..
Asuras or demons are either tamsik or rajsik.....
Lord Vishnu can only be achieved by satvik worship

Bhagwat puran was composed by ved vyas after Mahabharata at the end of all his creations that is Vedas, brahmasutras, 17 mahapuranas...

“Just as the Ganga is the greatest of all rivers, Lord Acyuta is the supreme among all the deities, similarly Lord Shiva is the greatest of all the Vaishnavas.’’

      vaisnavanam parah sresthah
“Lord Shiva is the greatest among all the Vaishnavas”
      3) Skanda Purana, Vaisakha Mahatmya, chapter 1.12-14 states:
      devatanam yatha visnu
      vaisnavanam yatha rudro
“Just as Lord Vishnu is the greatest of all the devatas, Similarly Lord Shiva is the greatest among all the Vaishnavas.”

      na sankarad vaishnava
      ca na sahisnur dhara para

This is complete rubbish if I’ve ever heard any. Vishnu worship is raja? Any worship to any deity becomes raja if you desire a result from your worship. That is raja, that is passion. And if you worship a deity to inflict pain and suffering on yourself or others that is tama, that’s ignorance. If you worship a deity only because it ought to be done and not for any result for yourself but to show respect and appreciation, that is sattva. What she’s saying is plain out wrong.

Correct. All of the 3 Gunas are intricately, causally and conditionally related to one another. Shristhi, Sthithi, Laya - Existence itself is balanced on these three. And you need all three. When you SLEEP - It is Tamas. You still need Tamas in some proportion. When your cells die - thats Tamas Operating making room for new cells to be born. Tamasic is not equivalent to EVIL. KALIYUGA is a Tamasic Yuga. (Satya was Trigunatita, Treta Satwik and Dwapar Rajasika) So Tamasika Deities and Tamasika Worship are highly effective in this age. Tamasika deities are not themselves Tamasika. They are Trigunatita like All deities but their mode of Operation is chiefly Tamasik. For Example Naam Jaapa is kind of Tamasik because it is LAZY in a way... You don't make the Elaborate Arrangements as in a Puja and a Homa. You simply Chant the name. Any Animal with Limited Intellect can do that. But the Results in this Age are FANTASTIC.

In Bengal we have been offering Pashu Balis to Devi and they are considered Veera Guna Sampanna or Rajasik while Sacrificing Fruits and Vegetables are considered Tamasik and of a much lower grade. Only the Select few are able to sacrifice their Inner Ripus to the Goddess, which is Sattwick. Even in Vishnu Bhoga there is the provision of offering a pure while Goat or Burnt Lamb's meat. It is definitely not Tamasik. There was provision of offering Animals up for sacrifice right from the Early Vedic ages and sometimes they were mandatory parts of a Yajna. This Animal Sacrifice = Tamasic Worship is a Hindi Belt Propaganda. Listen to Scholars like Nrishingha Prasad Bhaduri or Tantrics like Subham Mondal. You'll get an idea.

No vaishnav scriptures allows animal sacrifice, because lord Vishnu and all their forms are Param satvik and satva is supereme. In some narsimha temples in south india , meat is offered but that is the propaganda of some selfish native meat eaters priests.....
Its nothing Veera guna in animal killing, it's absolute selfish, tamsik and inhumane.... You listen to shankaracharya of govardhan math and jyotir math if you don't have that common sense......to get shastriya pramaan....
Listen to the greatest religious scholar Jagatguru Kripalu Ji Maharaj, the fifth original jagatguru , this title was awarded to him by the organisation of group of 500 greatest Vedic scholars of Kashi....
In front of them your bhadhuri and tantric mentors will look like kids... enlightened yourself....by gyana from right gurus...
Maharishi bhrigu has himself declared lord Vishnu as the supereme among Trinity.....go read scriptures...
Asuras worship only shiva and Brahma because either they are tamsik or rajsik and these deities are
Cheated number of times by asuras by their strong penance, but Lord lord Vishnu can't be cheated as he knows the bottom of your heart and he resides there in every particles of this cosmos as a kshirodhyakshayi Vishnu......
      Vishnu literally means omnipresent...

However, I’ve studied theology and religion for 12 years now and throughout the many spiritual practices I’ve partaken in, I’ve never felt so emotionally connected to a deity as I did with a recent experience regarding Maa Kali.
