I recommend you use the 3.0 USB Connections of the PS5 at the back for the DD Pro. The Front is 2.0. My DD Pro had Issues at higher Nm to communicate fast enough with the input from GT7 when i had it plugged in to the front. After switching i never had that issue again.

Crystal clear it is not though - The dials maybe and the cars in VR Showroom but the graphics are muted and slightly blurred.. Maybe they will use that to sell the Pro versions of the PS5?
@@MagicAyrtonforever Most likely. Base PS5 isnt even powerful for raytracing let alone the raytracing plus VR. PS5 was a mistake IMO since the jump in raw specs was too low. With PS5 Pro we could be looking in 5x jump in raw power over PS4 Pro.
Anyone that suffer Mura do this .... I have experience it on resident evil village and after the fall.... just turn down the brightness by 30 to 40 % and the Mura disappears and those games look so dame good ... I get no more Mura so please try and be blown away....
Yeah this makes a huge difference. I think the default brightness is way too bright for my liking. The screen is super sharp for me once set up correctly.
What about pc VR racing games and MS flight simulator? I don't have ps5 (yet) or a gaming pc but surely there must be pc racing games that give as good of an experience?
@@hoihoi13 is it just because of the pick up and play of the equipment, or the way GT as a game works where you can be in a race online or offline in any class within minutes of starting? Or is it even graphically and the actual experience of racing in VR that you thought was better than pc VR racing?

Let me put it this way, i tried dirt valley, project car, AC those games in pcvr but I refunded all of them after trying, graphics wise they r pretty similar to psvr2 I think. But the experience as a whole is better with gt7, it’s more fun and better presented? And when driving I have this arcade + sim hybrid feel, have been playing this everyday for an hour recently
I got the DD Pro and immediately got a loadcell pedal, shifter, and a new fanatec cockpit. I decided to go all in with the VR2 for my PS5 (I use console not PC), and the VR changed everything! Collecting cars and sitting in them is almost as fun as the driving experience. If a person likes sim racing, VR is a must. I have a 72' 4k TV and I still prefer the VR. So good.
GT7 in PSVR2 is so good, I've actually used it to "test drive" cars that I'm interested in possibly buying in real life. For example, you can get in the VR showroom with a GTI, WRX, G70, etc... and sit in the car, look around and get a great feel for the interior space and visibility. Then you can take the car out on some practice laps and learn how it handles at 9/10s and 10/10s, which you CANNOT do on a real test drive with a salesman present.
Gt7 and psvr2 are amazing. Got the 3d audio sony headphones the other day too. Again adding to the experience when you hear cars exhausts back fire infront of you
Yup nothing special about 3D tempest. It uses phasing and amplitude to give the user the illusion of surround sound, but it only drives 2 speakers just like windows sonic. What this console really needs is Atmos or DTS-X as currently AVR users are locked out and we only get 7.1 audio. 4 of my in ceiling speakers get deactivated with the PS5 which is a dam shame.

Good for you dude. I have the PSVR2, with a Fanatec wheel and sim rig but am easing my way into it, I get motion sickness very easily. Besides I have some real life things to attend to.
You getting better with the sickness? I got sick the first time (never did with the VR1), but only the once. I make sure I have a fan blowing fresh air in my face.
Finally , an honest review. Everyone wanted to hate it, and i think they got a slap in the face when they realized it was so good, the bashed the price, which ISNT even close to PC, the lens... its the experience they sell. Amd its awsome.

I've had a aluminium Wheel stand in a box sitting there for a year, yesterday I finally built it and took my wheel off my old custom made wood stand and put it on my shiny new aluminium stand. I got the G923. I think it’s completely fine for entry level. I have nothing to complain about it. Racing feels great with psvr2 and the Logitech wheel. Make sure you get the right version for ps5.
Nice setup! I have a similar setup but was really surprised you've managed to add bass shakers to your rig for the ps5. I am really intrigued on how you've been able to as I feel that is the only thing missing now. Could you please tell me how you pulled it off and is it as effective as PC? I have a Denon receiver connected to my PS5 of that helps.
The Logitech G29 is a very good starter wheel and that’s what I started out with before moving to Fanatec. You could also get the wheel stand pro as a cheap and storable stand for the wheel. Getting that second hand will save you a bit of dosh. If you get hooked on sim racing and play nearly every day for like a year then a Fanatec direct drive 8nm wheel is a good next step but you will also need a decent racing rig that’s solid enough to support it and your pedals so you might end up paying as much for your rig as the wheel and pedals themselves.

What baffles me is how near-identical it is to GT Sport's VR mode in terms of design. Even the same missing in-race data exclusive to VR in both games can't be enabled in any way as no changes have been made to the core experience. Essentially the only design change they made was adding the "VR replay" mode (which isn't what I expected, to be honest); everything else is more of a removal of the hardware limitations, so to speak. It's a vastly better experience, make no mistake, but I loved VR in GT Sport & to see no changes made purely by choice seems glaring; our FNR league requires at least one person to *not* be in VR in order to gather the data for our spreadsheets & scoring, irrespective of not being able to track other racers' pits, tires & track position in-race for the same strategy we can get from any other mode in both GT Sport & GT 7.
As a HP G2 owner interested to hear you say the visuals on the PSVR2 are better. In AMS2 even running at 45fps with rear projection on to allow a resolution set at 140% the clarity deteriorates beyond a 150metres or so. Good in the near view but you really notice it in race sims. So the PSVR2 does a better job in this regard. I also saw in another review that you can show the actual VR view on a monitor when usually the VR view on a monitor is much clearer than the actual headset view. Is your video the "actual" vr view?
I am not here to bash your video, in fact I liked it and I subscribed. With that being said I feel like you failed to mention (as many GT7 TH-cam videos do) is that the single player experience, especially in the beginning can be a frustrating grindy haul. The cafe and forced upgrades to cars you may never want to spend a dime on, IN MY OPINION, can be extremely frustrating. Searching for videos here on YT that are less than a year old has brought to my attention a recent update which some say has lessened the reward, slowed the progression, and further escalated a path towards microtransaction purchases. Again, this is opinion and it is seemingly seldom shared in these videos, but I personally feel many people such as myself decided on a VR2 to experience this beauty and the VR2 has already sold more units than the original. This being the one and only racing sim available in VR on this console surely has brought a flock of open wallets to GT7 and I cannot possibly be the outlier here feeling more like horse chasing a carrot on a stick than a racer. I understand the history of the GT title as I am old, however I could not see how a person with work, family, and social life engagements could find enough hours in the day to fit in the entire cafe/menu and the complete the licenses and the super license only to eventually open the ability to race online in a million dollar car when the reward cards repeatedly open to reveal only 2,000 credits, or a performance exhaust to a vehicle one may never use. I can go on but that's enough.
Great review though "The pedals are all aluminium that look+feel good quality, the brake pedal uses an elastomer it felt a bit squishy" -> I suggest to invest in pedals w/ Load Cell first, then upgrade wheel base to Direct Drive. Not the other way around as it is braking that separates great drivers from decent ones. (according to a former Audi RS4 MTM Safety Car driver on Hockenheim/Le Mans/Nordschleife/Spa-Francorchamps🤫)
@@MacInVR definitely focus on the loadcell first. The difference is astronomical. Even better than going from belt or gear driven wheelbase to a direct drive.
GT7 in VR is such an amazing game. Normaly i play all simracing titles (iracing, Automobilista 2, ACC, AC, etc) with a highend PC, Simucube, Heusinkveld pedals, motion rig etc, but i have to admit that non of these games even with all this highend equipment could beat GT7 in VR!! I never thought that i would have so moch fun with the PS5 and only a Logitech G923 and GT7.

It's the frame and seat, quite old now. Probably 6 years I've had it? Pretty solid, but they don't sell them anymore. The closest is the ART RS6 cockpit
I have a DD Pro, and have it attached to Next Level Racing's GT Lite foldable rig. Most people would say it cannot handle the direct dirve, but when you use the supplied straps (as per NLR's online guide) it is rock steady. NIL movement. And a fair bit cheaper.
I literally just ordered the same GT DD pro package this morning. Can I ask a few questions. How long did yours take to arrive after ordering ? How did you go about paying the vat etc and finally is the rig the Omega Art ? That's the rig I have. Did the pedal tray fit easily ? Thanks Bud.

I really want to get into VR racing but got motion sickness when I tried Assetto Corsa on pc with a Vive. How does ps5 vr 2 compare to other headsets in terms of motion sickness. Really want to get these 😅
It'll will go away eventually, it's called "getting your VR legs". Apparently according to Kazunori Yamauchi. You should try driving slower "convertible cars" at first until you get used to it. Plus try to look ahead and not behind when driving.

Good review. But I think you’re misleading people about the price of the wheel. The price you see on the Fanatec website is the cost of the wheel without VAT. You pay the VAT when it comes into the country. There’s no import tax, just the VAT you would have paid and handling charge (about £12). Blame Brexit, not Fanatec.
Cost that much and no Clutch Pedal or is it and you have not fitted it for some reason. Do Fanatec engineers only drive automatic cars or something. I know it is not needed with most games but for that price i would expect one. Your PC GPU is a bit out of date for latest VR headsets resolution, I imagine it struggles to push enough pixels at high settings for the Quest 2 let alone the Pico 4 or Reverb G2 for PCVR.
I have a PC that is VR capable and I play AMS2 quite a lot so no, the GT DD Pro is an investment in my hobby. However, I am totally addicted to playing GT7 & Pavlov on PSVR2 so that is also an investment (man-maths) 😅
The bundled wheel is trash, its rubber is the worst quality of rubber in existence, it wears down really fast, just take a look at TH-camr TheKie25 's wheel, the parts around his hands don't have any rubber anymore, it's pure plastic he's holding!
I agree, the wheel designed by PD is by far the worst wheel, you can purchase from fanatec. Better check out the McLaren GT3 which is a fabulous budget wheel, I drove it for three years and it shows zero wear. You have to get used to the shifters, though.
Lol too real? First off there’s no setup procedures for any wheel on the PS5 or GT7 as those features are left out. So the fanatec is not some special cure to a non existent adjustment. Which brings us to how bad GT7 really is, there is zero wheel endpoint adjustments available either in game or on the console itself. We can’t have 1-1 or 2-1 short throw ratios or any custom wheel ratios for that matter. Yet in most other games we have the ability to adjust wheel endpoints to tailor every vehicle as it should be. Pretty hilarious calling this a sim when an important feature like endpoint is missing. Stating GT7 is the best is a pretty bold statement especially since you claim it has the best visuals and frame rates. The shadows are one of the worst in todays racing games that I’ve seen. We get zero shadow maps from pylons/poles from our headlights during night racing, meanwhile a 5yr old game (FM7) has this simple yet important feature. The stationary shadow maps from trees and objects are a terrible mess as well. The shadows just jump in 1 frame in a jagged pixelated mess than jump out on the next frame. The shadows are a complete low frame rate mess that should be completely disabled at this point as it makes the game look horrible. This is so bad especially in cockpit view when you look straight back, the shadows are so awful on the back part of the vehicle. Zero motion fluidity to shadows. This game doesn’t even have ray tracing in racing, only in replays and picture simulator mode. We can’t even adjust the on screen display while racing, either everything is on or the entire bottom of the screen is covered with a bunch of junk. Why do I have to have a virtual tach and other useless info overlayed on top of my cockpit view? Why can’t we toggle the on demand adjustments in the bottom right hand side only? So dumb that the bottom of the screen has to be cluttered just so we can have our fuel map and other info. As for immersion GT7 is a long ways away from it, we don’t even get any in ceiling speaker support from the PS5 so anyone running a full immersive setup with 11+ full range speakers can’t even utilize their equipment. No, there’s no Dolby Atmos or DTS-X support while gaming on the PS5. Sony can’t even give AVR users a feature like windows sonic that at least gives us some height channels support. Although sonic is just like tempest and only drives 2 channels and uses phasing and amplitude to give us the illusion of height audio. Since audio is literally 50% of any A/V experience the PS5 fails bad in this department. Sony won’t even unlock tempest for AVR users and they limit us down to standard 7.1 audio, nothing like a company disabling 4 of my speakers lol. The VR is what it is, it’s an introduction in to the VR world. However the image is really grainy and pixelated in our peripheral view, this is do to the lenses Sony decided to use which is why you won’t see this in top VR headsets as they don’t use that tech. This entire video is non objective and a simple fanboy rave. Nothing is analyzed properly and everything from Sony is great lol. I’m a PS5 owner and have supported Sony since the original PS, however I’ll admit their major weaknesses and always call them out. We will never have the best experience if companies aren’t called out on missing features or poor hardware. Is GT7 the best? Far from it, but if 1 is married to the PS5 and has no other platform than yes technically speaking it’s the best for that individual as they have nothing to compare it to. PS5 users deserve more than what both Sony and poly gave us, limiting our audio and video formats is just pure nonsense. We don’t even get Dolby vision on the PS5 and it still uses the old HDR10 format. The long time supporters of the GT series like myself have all agreed that this game is a total downgrade from 5/6. When a 5 year old game, FM7, gives us a better and more realistic experience it really goes to show you how bad things really are. FM8 is gonna have real time ray tracing and an insanely active weather engine just to name a few things. GT7 has abandoned their core principles and shifted their focus to a different generation of gamers. Hiding this games flaws with overly bright images and making the vehicles shiny to the point where we can’t even see the car ahead of us is just a poor attempt at making things look good. The worst part about all this is that PS5 only players will never experience what a real racing sim should be this day and age. GT7 is 5+ years behind and I doubt they’ll ever catch up at this point. Sad to see what Sony and poly has become today, they were both leaders in their fields but really dropped the ball. Sony users deserve more from a company that use to be a top leader in the A/V field. Today their name sells their brand and some people still choose to ignore the facts of how much is really missing from this console and game. You can still like something be it Sony or Xbox, but you should always call out flaws and lack of features of either rig. Misrepresenting things is never a good idea and it’s the primary reason why Sony has so much missing from its console. In the PC world we as a community halted the Nvidia giants from launching 2 4080’s by standing up and speaking the truth. They were forced to scrap the launch of the 12gb version and lost millions as everything had to be relabeled. They had to destroy all the boxes and make new ones including any documents inside the box. Why we don’t do the same in the console world is beyond me. Seems like we just shut up and accept what’s given to us than blindly support that said console, be it Xbox or PS5 we just blindly support them. I’ve called out Sony for the lack of Atmos and Dolby vision and people start barking at me and defending Sony, it’s hilarious. Their literally defending a company for leaving features out because they themselves don’t use those features. The best is the argument that 3D tempest audio is better than Atmos lol. When I ask for an explanation why it’s better I don’t get one, just more fanboy reasons. They have no idea that 3D tempest only drives 2 channels while Atmos supports up to 64 channels. How can anyone say 2 channels is better that individually driven speakers with in ceiling speakers wrapped around you? It is what it is, just be truthful and admit the lack of features and stop misleading people.

The "3D" part of the audio is built into the PS5 Tempest audio engine. Any pair of headphones will work. Sony just used clever marketing.

I have a ROG pc with an Rtx3090 card and a quest 2 vr headset. I am so blown away by gt7 and psvr2 that I don’t use it anymore.
My PC gets used to record footage for videos and all my other headsets are collecting dust.

I got the G923. I think it’s completely fine for entry level. I have nothing to complain about it. Racing feels great with psvr2 and the Logitech wheel. Make sure you get the right version for ps5.
Nice setup! I have a similar setup but was really surprised you've managed to add bass shakers to your rig for the ps5. I am really intrigued on how you've been able to as I feel that is the only thing missing now. Could you please tell me how you pulled it off and is it as effective as PC? I have a Denon receiver connected to my PS5 of that helps.
The Logitech G29 is a very good starter wheel and that’s what I started out with before moving to Fanatec. You could also get the wheel stand pro as a cheap and storable stand for the wheel. Getting that second hand will save you a bit of dosh. If you get hooked on sim racing and play nearly every day for like a year then a Fanatec direct drive 8nm wheel is a good next step but you will also need a decent racing rig that’s solid enough to support it and your pedals so you might end up paying as much for your rig as the wheel and pedals themselves.

What baffles me is how near-identical it is to GT Sport's VR mode in terms of design. Even the same missing in-race data exclusive to VR in both games can't be enabled in any way as no changes have been made to the core experience.
Essentially the only design change they made was adding the "VR replay" mode (which isn't what I expected, to be honest); everything else is more of a removal of the hardware limitations, so to speak.
It's a vastly better experience, make no mistake, but I loved VR in GT Sport & to see no changes made purely by choice seems glaring; our FNR league requires at least one person to *not* be in VR in order to gather the data for our spreadsheets & scoring, irrespective of not being able to track other racers' pits, tires & track position in-race for the same strategy we can get from any other mode in both GT Sport & GT 7.
I have done this with my quest 2 on stream with project cars 2 and mannnnn after an hour I was nauseous 😂 and I'm very tough in terms of VR

As a HP G2 owner interested to hear you say the visuals on the PSVR2 are better. In AMS2 even running at 45fps with rear projection on to allow a resolution set at 140% the clarity deteriorates beyond a 150metres or so. Good in the near view but you really notice it in race sims. So the PSVR2 does a better job in this regard. I also saw in another review that you can show the actual VR view on a monitor when usually the VR view on a monitor is much clearer than the actual headset view. Is your video the "actual" vr view?

I am not here to bash your video, in fact I liked it and I subscribed. With that being said I feel like you failed to mention (as many GT7 TH-cam videos do) is that the single player experience, especially in the beginning can be a frustrating grindy haul. The cafe and forced upgrades to cars you may never want to spend a dime on, IN MY OPINION, can be extremely frustrating. Searching for videos here on YT that are less than a year old has brought to my attention a recent update which some say has lessened the reward, slowed the progression, and further escalated a path towards microtransaction purchases. Again, this is opinion and it is seemingly seldom shared in these videos, but I personally feel many people such as myself decided on a VR2 to experience this beauty and the VR2 has already sold more units than the original. This being the one and only racing sim available in VR on this console surely has brought a flock of open wallets to GT7 and I cannot possibly be the outlier here feeling more like horse chasing a carrot on a stick than a racer. I understand the history of the GT title as I am old, however I could not see how a person with work, family, and social life engagements could find enough hours in the day to fit in the entire cafe/menu and the complete the licenses and the super license only to eventually open the ability to race online in a million dollar car when the reward cards repeatedly open to reveal only 2,000 credits, or a performance exhaust to a vehicle one may never use. I can go on but that's enough.

@@MacInVR definitely focus on the loadcell first. The difference is astronomical. Even better than going from belt or gear driven wheelbase to a direct drive.
GT7 in VR is such an amazing game. Normaly i play all simracing titles (iracing, Automobilista 2, ACC, AC, etc) with a highend PC, Simucube, Heusinkveld pedals, motion rig etc, but i have to admit that non of these games even with all this highend equipment could beat GT7 in VR!! I never thought that i would have so moch fun with the PS5 and only a Logitech G923 and GT7.

It's the frame and seat, quite old now. Probably 6 years I've had it? Pretty solid, but they don't sell them anymore. The closest is the ART RS6 cockpit
I have a DD Pro, and have it attached to Next Level Racing's GT Lite foldable rig. Most people would say it cannot handle the direct dirve, but when you use the supplied straps (as per NLR's online guide) it is rock steady. NIL movement. And a fair bit cheaper.

I really want to get into VR racing but got motion sickness when I tried Assetto Corsa on pc with a Vive. How does ps5 vr 2 compare to other headsets in terms of motion sickness. Really want to get these 😅

No feedback, the pedals are spring (accelerator) and an elastomer (brake).
Think the idea is you buy the base set then upgrade over time.
How do you deal with the vr motion sickness feeling .
It'll will go away eventually, it's called "getting your VR legs". Apparently according to Kazunori Yamauchi. You should try driving slower "convertible cars" at first until you get used to it. Plus try to look ahead and not behind when driving.

The 1st time I tried the psvr2 it made me feel proper ill .I was sweating like I don't know what snd I was white as a sheet after the 1st 5 minutes .
I experienced a little bit in the beginning but now i can play for hours without any problems....

Yes, you can. The actual headset is mounted on a halo strap and can move in and out quite a lot so wearing glasses shouldn't be a problem 😉

The price you see on the Fanatec website is the cost of the wheel without VAT.
You pay the VAT when it comes into the country. There’s no import tax, just the VAT you would have paid and handling charge (about £12).
Blame Brexit, not Fanatec.

Cost that much and no Clutch Pedal or is it and you have not fitted it for some reason. Do Fanatec engineers only drive automatic cars or something. I know it is not needed with most games but for that price i would expect one.
Your PC GPU is a bit out of date for latest VR headsets resolution, I imagine it struggles to push enough pixels at high settings for the Quest 2 let alone the Pico 4 or Reverb G2 for PCVR.

Not being funny but spending getting on for 2k to enjoy GT7 in VR2 with a decent wheel and a rig to put it in is ridiculous and crap value.
I have a PC that is VR capable and I play AMS2 quite a lot so no, the GT DD Pro is an investment in my hobby.
However, I am totally addicted to playing GT7 & Pavlov on PSVR2 so that is also an investment (man-maths) 😅

The bundled wheel is trash, its rubber is the worst quality of rubber in existence, it wears down really fast, just take a look at TH-camr TheKie25 's wheel, the parts around his hands don't have any rubber anymore, it's pure plastic he's holding!

I agree, the wheel designed by PD is by far the worst wheel, you can purchase from fanatec. Better check out the McLaren GT3 which is a fabulous budget wheel, I drove it for three years and it shows zero wear. You have to get used to the shifters, though.

Lol too real? First off there’s no setup procedures for any wheel on the PS5 or GT7 as those features are left out. So the fanatec is not some special cure to a non existent adjustment.
Which brings us to how bad GT7 really is, there is zero wheel endpoint adjustments available either in game or on the console itself. We can’t have 1-1 or 2-1 short throw ratios or any custom wheel ratios for that matter. Yet in most other games we have the ability to adjust wheel endpoints to tailor every vehicle as it should be. Pretty hilarious calling this a sim when an important feature like endpoint is missing.
Stating GT7 is the best is a pretty bold statement especially since you claim it has the best visuals and frame rates. The shadows are one of the worst in todays racing games that I’ve seen. We get zero shadow maps from pylons/poles from our headlights during night racing, meanwhile a 5yr old game (FM7) has this simple yet important feature. The stationary shadow maps from trees and objects are a terrible mess as well. The shadows just jump in 1 frame in a jagged pixelated mess than jump out on the next frame. The shadows are a complete low frame rate mess that should be completely disabled at this point as it makes the game look horrible. This is so bad especially in cockpit view when you look straight back, the shadows are so awful on the back part of the vehicle. Zero motion fluidity to shadows. This game doesn’t even have ray tracing in racing, only in replays and picture simulator mode. We can’t even adjust the on screen display while racing, either everything is on or the entire bottom of the screen is covered with a bunch of junk. Why do I have to have a virtual tach and other useless info overlayed on top of my cockpit view? Why can’t we toggle the on demand adjustments in the bottom right hand side only? So dumb that the bottom of the screen has to be cluttered just so we can have our fuel map and other info. As for immersion GT7 is a long ways away from it, we don’t even get any in ceiling speaker support from the PS5 so anyone running a full immersive setup with 11+ full range speakers can’t even utilize their equipment.
No, there’s no Dolby Atmos or DTS-X support while gaming on the PS5. Sony can’t even give AVR users a feature like windows sonic that at least gives us some height channels support. Although sonic is just like tempest and only drives 2 channels and uses phasing and amplitude to give us the illusion of height audio. Since audio is literally 50% of any A/V experience the PS5 fails bad in this department. Sony won’t even unlock tempest for AVR users and they limit us down to standard 7.1 audio, nothing like a company disabling 4 of my speakers lol.
The VR is what it is, it’s an introduction in to the VR world. However the image is really grainy and pixelated in our peripheral view, this is do to the lenses Sony decided to use which is why you won’t see this in top VR headsets as they don’t use that tech. This entire video is non objective and a simple fanboy rave. Nothing is analyzed properly and everything from Sony is great lol. I’m a PS5 owner and have supported Sony since the original PS, however I’ll admit their major weaknesses and always call them out. We will never have the best experience if companies aren’t called out on missing features or poor hardware. Is GT7 the best? Far from it, but if 1 is married to the PS5 and has no other platform than yes technically speaking it’s the best for that individual as they have nothing to compare it to. PS5 users deserve more than what both Sony and poly gave us, limiting our audio and video formats is just pure nonsense. We don’t even get Dolby vision on the PS5 and it still uses the old HDR10 format. The long time supporters of the GT series like myself have all agreed that this game is a total downgrade from 5/6. When a 5 year old game, FM7, gives us a better and more realistic experience it really goes to show you how bad things really are. FM8 is gonna have real time ray tracing and an insanely active weather engine just to name a few things. GT7 has abandoned their core principles and shifted their focus to a different generation of gamers. Hiding this games flaws with overly bright images and making the vehicles shiny to the point where we can’t even see the car ahead of us is just a poor attempt at making things look good. The worst part about all this is that PS5 only players will never experience what a real racing sim should be this day and age. GT7 is 5+ years behind and I doubt they’ll ever catch up at this point. Sad to see what Sony and poly has become today, they were both leaders in their fields but really dropped the ball. Sony users deserve more from a company that use to be a top leader in the A/V field. Today their name sells their brand and some people still choose to ignore the facts of how much is really missing from this console and game. You can still like something be it Sony or Xbox, but you should always call out flaws and lack of features of either rig. Misrepresenting things is never a good idea and it’s the primary reason why Sony has so much missing from its console. In the PC world we as a community halted the Nvidia giants from launching 2 4080’s by standing up and speaking the truth. They were forced to scrap the launch of the 12gb version and lost millions as everything had to be relabeled. They had to destroy all the boxes and make new ones including any documents inside the box. Why we don’t do the same in the console world is beyond me. Seems like we just shut up and accept what’s given to us than blindly support that said console, be it Xbox or PS5 we just blindly support them. I’ve called out Sony for the lack of Atmos and Dolby vision and people start barking at me and defending Sony, it’s hilarious. Their literally defending a company for leaving features out because they themselves don’t use those features. The best is the argument that 3D tempest audio is better than Atmos lol. When I ask for an explanation why it’s better I don’t get one, just more fanboy reasons. They have no idea that 3D tempest only drives 2 channels while Atmos supports up to 64 channels. How can anyone say 2 channels is better that individually driven speakers with in ceiling speakers wrapped around you? It is what it is, just be truthful and admit the lack of features and stop misleading people.
So, to sum up your long-winded (paragraphs, what are they?) diatribe, I guess you won't be buying a VR2?
