Love your summery of the dump truck, the people moving the machines onto the auction ramp are drivers not operators there is a huge difference. Operators care and look after equipment as if it's there own.👍

I worked construction for 30 years. The grade don't change, dry or not, the gravel will sink, the next time it rains. His friend put a drain on the left side of the driveway, the water ran down the right side of the driveway. DP did not want to call out his friend for doing a sub par job. It was a cash cow. Bottom line. Thank you for being you, Clinton.

You have mentioned that Mack is a part of Volvo, Renault Trucks too so we had Renault Magnum sold under the Mack's name here in France. Mike is lucky to have you as a good friend.
This is my third time watching this auction video because it reminds me of our group of buyers who trusted me to buy bucket and digger trucks for them. Customers would ask me if I would buy a particular unit would I take it back to our shop and recertification repairs be done and they would buy it from me. Many times I had a $500 deposit before buying a truck. Crazy deals all the time but we made it fun.

The Mack without the camel back suspension might have been put together from two trucks. I remember cutting an International truck in half and putting an R Model Mack on instead when I worked for a big crane company in Memphis. We called it a Macknational. 😂😂

It is amazing what a good pre emissions truck will bring. They are almost worth their weight in GOLD, compared to the costly maintenance of an emissions truck. Glad you was able to get this truck for DP. He may not like the price, but at the end of the day it will last him for many years to come.
@@Crewsy I don’t think anyone likes the prices they have to pay for older pre-emissions equipment, but they know it is the times we are living in. Had we not had these ridiculous emissions rules enacted the price of these older pieces of equipment would be 10s of thousands cheaper.
The only problem I have with these videos is understanding what the auctioneer finishes up at, let alone the run up. But thanks again for great videos. Look forward to you and your team working on what you bought.

I work some of the Richie Bros auctions in northern Ill. as an operator/driver on auction day. I turned every piece that I took though off unless I was told not to. That looks like a nice truck that you bought for DP.
I have seen that Truck you got for DP with the front wheels 3 feet off the ground in the hands of DP. It is a tough truck for sure. He has put in places a dump truck should never be.
Can you do a liner in the box like farmers do in a silage truck? I love that Mrs.C told you to wrap it up. Man you guys just put out some awesome content. Thanks for sharing all the auction action.
Having a meeting of the minds over the first 850 and two adults working out the problems of that seems to have led to a great relationship. Its amazing when people will work together to solve a problem and not have to be the big ego that is the only one who can be right.

When I worked as a mechanic for a construction company (I was also one of there operators) I would replace the trunuion bushing in our Mack R models with the nylon replacement parts. Also I’d put oak sheeting boards in the floor of the bed ( we hauled a lot of broken concrete). Yes I know the Rmodel was a road tractor, but the company owner had the frame doubled and a bed installed. Worked out pretty well for in city work around Akron,Ohio!
