They have the best and most iconic fight song in all of college football, unless there are any other teams I don't know about who play similar. This sounds like something from the 40s or early 50s and I love it.❤️

I'm in Miami University's class of 2002. So this is our fight song. Our nickname may be RedHawks now, but if you ask me, I think that it should still be Redskins. Either way, Love and Honor, my fellow Miami graduates.
The guy who wrote it, Raymond H. Burke, wrote it in 1908 for Miami University. When he got a position at his alma mater (the University of Chicago), he took this with him, adapting the lyrics.

From Wikipedia: "Raymond Burke was an instructor in geography, assistant professor of geology and director of music at Miami University from 1906 until 1915 and continuing some post-graduate work at the University of Chicago in the summer sessions. He wrote both the lyrics and music for Miami's fight song, the "Miami University Marching Song." The tune was adapted in 1919 for Wave the Flag, the University of Chicago's fight song. He also composed the music for "Old Miami, Alma Mater Song" and "Miami Scalp Song," which was the background music for the Miami Indian dance at athletic contests until the mascot was changed to the Redhawks. Burke organized the Miami University Men's Glee Club in 1907. It held its first performance in February 1908, ending the concert with the premiere of Burke's songs that are now known as the university's fight song and alma mater."

Henry C. Conrad High School Band has had Love and Honor as it's fight song since 1961. And not to brag too much played it just as well if not better than Miami. Conrad was the number one high school band in Delawarwe for 11 straight years (1961-1972) under the direction of David Casto

Ben Roethlisberger played for Miami.... but he didn't graduate... he left his senior year... I wouldn't claim him if I were Mother Miami
