Been doing this with 2-3 hit combos into blocks since you first mentioned it - it works. Better than baiting to get a parry at times. Well done.

Good stuff Dave! Adding an additional stutter delay is interesting and I find I can do this on my iPad, but not well on my phone. I need to practice more to figure out why.

By the way, i also discovered that you can parry stun opponent while he’s in the middle of a combo hitting your block. I just cant cracked the code. I always do it unintentionally. That’ll be a great content too if you manage to discover the trick. More power dave!

I like the phrase, sadly I always get comboed into oblivion...
Been using the block bait for some time, I use it to push opponents over power meters, then bait the special for an opening, I also use it as a medium, light, light, light, dash back then intercept, pretty much the same as actually hitting the opponent but for when they won’t give you the opening to begin the process.
Great video! There is a case when AI can parry you instead of attacking or dashing back. It happened to me couple of times in war
I parried the AI mid combo before many times too.
So i guess what you can do to the AI, they can do it back to you too?

Thought change up..bait was common knowledge..useful practice vs both visions and capt marvel. If you push a 3rd mash dash on yj you can evade his L1 more often than not

In fighting games this is called a frame trap. It's one of the main ways to open up a human opponent (in combination with throws because they are unblockable).
I've been using it for some time in MCOC, but with the laggy controls and dropped inputs it's very inconsistent and/or hard to do, so I just stopped using it.
@Dave, here is something you need to look into.
i have recently found it possible to MID-Combo parry the AI.
i first discovered it after attempting a parry and missing it and just getting a regular block. then able to release and reappply block and cause a parry between first and second hits of the combo.
itt seems easier agains some opponents and others due to attack animations,
and works easier against a certain aggression level and attack speed of AI.
Yep it’s pretty cool. I just haven’t mastered it yet to a point to make a tutorial out of it yet. But I’ve almost cracked the code.
I was so excited for the recon initiative quest and knew about the hero limitations(didn't read the whole) thought would take 4 of my top and one required but this only avengers or gotg thing has ruined my roster, i need to rank up Agent venom and falcon 😟😟(they not gonna work though)

These videos seem useful, but I can’t use them when I play. To much to remember. I good as I am lol
It is a lot to take in, especially if you try to do multiple techniques at once. What can help is picking one vid or one thing from a vid and working on that while grinding arena. With enough practice, it goes from something you have to think about to something you can do almost automatically. Once you have one technique down, you can move on to another.

it's one of those things in game that no one really tells you though so it's nice that he shared his experience, its very helpful i think. I didnt know you could block and dexterity for like 9 months lol terrible but yeah things like that, Dave rocks it.
There are a lot of folk who don't know, so videos that explain how the AI behaves and how to take advantage of it are quite helpful. Plus that rap was awesome =)
