You know what I like the most about you Philip? That you don't just talk about what to do, you actually are active in the niche and have the success vids to prove it.
THANK YOU!!! I was talking to someone about that the other day. How almost all the “how to be a TH-camr” channels are people who don’t make content other than, “how to be a TH-camr” content.
I have been watching some of your older videos and such for the past few days. Today I decided to buy things for proper lighting, a new camera (Bought a Sony ZV-E10L kit as well!) and a bunch of other things! I have long been super interested in cooking and such and its a huge hobby of mine. Been trying to get into both streaming and youtubing again and have tried different niches. You really inspired me to give this a proper shot. Thank you Philip. Will most likely be making a new channel! Once It's up and running I will drop by and hopefully show you everything you have taught me!
Gold. Appreciate the practical tips and insider look on the how-to aspects of video making. Still honing my craft, but videos like these are super helpful in not repeating mistakes!
Dude, thanks for being so generous with your knowledge and experience. I'm getting so much value from being in the Creators Facebook group and this video was super useful.
Thanks for the info! This was very insightful and I’m realizing now that I’m wasting precious time on prep shots and speeding up clips. I’m excited to implement these reccomendations in my next video
nice break down!! imma use this exact formula! my most popular short with 250k+ views does use some of these stratergies. except i wasnt quite thinking of this when making the video. its going viral right now. it was kinda dead them i changed the title to something catchy. all of a sudden it picked up. i have done things to try to make ppl comment. i pronounce gyro as guy-ro. i do know it said yee-ro or hero. but i just went ahead and said guy ro to see how many ppl would comment. lets just say the comment section is popping hahah
Hahah let’s goooo! That’s a great way to start engagement! Just remember tho… Is that on brand? Do you wanna be know for that or want other brands to always see something like that in your content. Something to consider.
@@PhilipLemoine thats a good question. personally i think it is on brand b/c alot of southern ppl do indeed say guy-ro, regardless of how it is supposed to be said. i feel like my brand overall is Southern,( a little country), funny (but not extra), and relatable. a number of ppl also said they grew up hearing it said this way. so i think it fair to just let them fight it out haha
@@CamirrasKitchen nah yeah for sure. Being american in general I say things with an american accent and get called out. I do see some creators saying obviously wrong things in the content to create engagement is what I meant. No shame in the game if its on "brand." I legit jacked a jalapeno off in my last video LOL... damn typing that out was difficult.
Im a new subbie and i food content creator and I love your content and knowledge on shooting with our phones. Could you show or link if you have a video on how to shoot the jump, zoom in etc shots please 😩 I struggle with that. Thank you and keep growing!!🩵🩵🩵
Thank you. You are such a good teacher. Im wondering tho, if you provide the entire recipe with measurements and ingredients in the short, what's the incentive to watch the full length vid?
Thanks so much for this, Philip! Just now diving into your videos and excited to learn more. Out of curiosity, is the lav mic you're using in this video the same as the one on your gear list (Tascam DR-10L)? Really love the crisp audio (and quality content, of course)!
Hi Phillip, may I ask which mobile you used to make the chicken video. And how did you get the colors so nicely saturated there. Thanks a lot. I would love to make a channel about Sauces but dont know where to start. I just have an iphone 11 and an old sony Alpha with a 50mm lense.
Can I ask how many cameras do you use when filming for one recipe? Do you move your camera around or you have multiple cameras filming at the same time? Thanks
Hello, I have a question. I have only uploaded 5 shorts and the first three did well but the current two shorts have no views. Is this normal or have I done something wrong? I actually always left the settings the same
I am new and want to get the sony a6700 as my main camera. If I film horizontally for a long form youtube video, can I just take small clips of that video to create a short for instagram or tic tok? I assume long form videos once monetized would be more profitable, but I would hate to redo the entire video vertically for a short. Appreciate all your videos.
Do you find it easier to make the script before you shoot or after? I recorded my taco recipe with all the shots and ingredients in mind and did the talking after.

Excellent strategy to shoot two videos for the same recipe! 🎉
Thanks for sharing. Good information.

The explanation was great!! 😍😍
I just want to start,What kind of softbox and flash should I use? At a good price

great info brother
Thank you for actually explaining this process. Most others that try to help do not teach anything
Thank you for this!
Can I ask how many cameras do you use when filming for one recipe? Do you move your camera around or you have multiple cameras filming at the same time? Thanks
Typically, I use one camera and just move it after each major step of the recipe.
silly question did you shoot these vertically or horizontally then just change the dimensions of the view?
Nice sharing

Can I ask what you use to edit your videos

What equipment do we need to make shorts like these?
A phone, something to hold it in place, and a light source! Start small.

Do you make shorts and reel videos separately and TH-cam videos separately too? Or are you using your TH-cam video and editing it into a short? 😭
