Great review. I have owned a 2012 for 24K. 22 on the 245 all seasons. Got a 4.7 0 to 60 12.7 112mph. The couple few times I tried was with worn tires. Tires hold it back. I put a 10" rim in back with a 275/40 Conti DR 300 AA A series rubber that feels like it should be in the soft end of a pencil, and brother does this car hook up. Can't wait to take it to the track. A 275 will work in back and front. I run a stock tire size on a 9" rim in front, rims obviously staggered. Grey Viper reproductions. I agree it is a "Jekyll/Hyde" or as Auto week called it "a gorilla in a tuxedo."
I was excited to see this review. White is my favorite color of the SRT8. That was absolutely full of information with a flawless presentation. Thanks, Alex.
Thank u mr alex ur channel is my favourite on youtube for car reviews plus u talk about everything in the car like material quality which many people don't talk about it.
Sucks they stop producing SRT trim for 300. I like the luxury feel of the 300 but at the same time I want the performance that comes with its powerful HEMI engine. I know they still have the less potent HEMI but there's nothing like having a powerful V8 engine. Makes it kind of a sleeper car for people who doesn't even know about the engine behind the hood.
And the new 8 speed was gonna be avaliable with it if they kept on going. Im sure more sales wouldve happened to the 300 with the 392 hemi plus the 8 speed with the edition of the hellcat engine
He advertises this car well, and let's you know that this one is perfected for anyone who has a criminal mind or relying simply on thuggish ways or on future unlawful intentions. Basically a getaway car.
Great review... My wife and I picked a 2012 one up around Christmas (nearly exactly the same) and the first thing we did was go on a 2k-3k mile roadtrip. We were amazed that we never tired of driving or sitting in this car, even hour on end. We were considering a CTS-V or a C63 AMG, but the interior of this car (we have the upgraded leather interior) is just jaw dropping.
Well, I have a 2007 Chrysler 300 Touring with over 200k miles on the odometer. I have not experienced any out of the ordinary problems - but I have serviced it according to Chryslers service spec.s The 300 are often bashed for its Fisher Price interior - this may or may not be right - the upside is that even after 6 years of daily use it still looks good and not woen - it's also very easy to clean and you can use strong cleaning products if need be !
The tall hood (and firewall, beltline and deck) is because of the tall control arm suspension. But as you'll see on the new Maserati Ghibli they're switching over to a lower mounted double wishbone set-up for next generation. Challenger will be getting it first for 2015, expect a lower (but still fairly tall) beltline but better handing and less weight (400lbs~ less) in the future on this and the Charger.
One of the last is an appropriate line IMHO. The Chevy SS and ATS-V didn't exist when this video was shot, the Charger is the essentially the same car. The Taurus SHO is a FWD baised AWD car whish isn't a "traditional" American sport sedan. That left (at the time) the CTS-V and the 300/Charger SRT8. I'd call that a small pool. Add in the SS and the very temping ATS-V and you sill have a tiny segment.
This vehicle is a beast, they are highly reliable Dr, Jekyll and Mr, Hyde in this. This big 4 door can move, top speed 170MPH. It's not you're regular Chrysler 300.
Hi Alex, great reviews! How would you compare the luxury/quiet/ride during normal driving between the Chrysler 300 SRT8 and the Genesis 5.0 R-Spec? It appears clear the Chrysler is the much better performer in every way, but I'm wondering about the daily drivability of these two cars in comparison to each other.
The 300 is very much a daily driver kind of car, if you can get past the fuel economy. The Genesis is tuned more towards the Lexus soft end of the spectrum while the 300C is more Euro-firm.
Alex on Autos Really?! Alex ...I'm impressed..esp after I just read the Lexus 350 was rated as the best sports sedan recently; and with the tail-happy Genesis I automatically assumed it had to be sporty...thnx for representing another perspective.
I love the 300, but the blackout speck for this car just does not go, it is a large luxury sedan, and the black just looks tacky. The version that is not available in the U.S. is the best looking one in my opinion. I love all the chrome and the way it glistens in the sun, it looks like a big cushy luxury vehicle, but once you put your foot down you can race a gt 500 no problem, that’s what I love about cars like this!
I owned a 2006 5.7 300c an it had 60k on it, water pump went out an I replaced it. also was showing signs of electrical problems with the windows. other than that no problems
I like how he reviews the trunk's comfort. Like the audience aim for the 300 is for kidnappers who like to keep their victims comfortable in the trunk.
I like this guys take on things. Well except for transmission, there's no utility to having more then 5 gears when you have an engine with so much torque and such a wide power band. 8 speeds is just too much shifting. I just bought a 2014 300JV 5.7 AWD and most of what he talks about here is why.
They did,but only 27 that includes 6 core models. They were not released to the public. So 2014 is the last year. www.wkjeeps.com/srt8/2014_Chrysler_300_SRT_Color_01.jpg This is the color break down. I would try for a Cherry Red. If you can black roof and black chrome package. Just a beautiful sleeper car.
They actually did, and still do.... for over seas market Thank goodness I have a 14 srt black edition in the garage. Good luck with finding one. Less than 500 for American market made
@@Welcometofacsistube Like you, I have a fully-optioned black edition 2014 as well. Only 23K miles. As you say, quite a rare car. Around 450 made for the US market and only about 125 black editions made.
Really??? Lose points on the trunk space because these hinges impact head room and leg room?? I guess I don't use my car to it's fullest potential. Never thought about trunk space for a person. Where do you work so I'll know "Not" to go there.
a good thing to do to this car if you are having reliability problems with this car in four or five years is to get the motor redone. Hennessey performance puts out a great tune for this car and gives you quite a lot of extra horsepower.
Chrysler never needed 'help' from merjunk to develope a good suspension system. any mopar lover knows this. I had a 06c and trust me the only problems i had with the car is was with the front end suspension. tention struts anyone?
I'm not very familiar with resale values in the UK but I suspect the tax disc would cost you more because of the 300's higher emissions? You would also have to factor in the parts cost, limited Chrysler dealer network in the UK and the fuel economy. That's the kind of crazy thing I might do (I have the opposite thing going on since I own a Damiler Super Eight in the USA which has many of the same issues on this end).
Good to know we can fit a body or two in the trunk . Thanks for demo
In Jack Reacher season 1 It has actually been proved you can fit 3.
You have just established a benchmark in automotive reviews Alex; pleasant, wholesome, and thorough.
This is despite your surprising bias to the car.
Your reviews are always thorough, informative and highly entertaining!

JM C I’m sad that there’s no Chrysler srt300 8. Now you’re forced to get the Dodge Charger just to get more power.
And the new 8 speed was gonna be avaliable with it if they kept on going. Im sure more sales wouldve happened to the 300 with the 392 hemi plus the 8 speed with the edition of the hellcat engine
You can always import one overseas... they still make new 300c SRT with the 8speed 👍
Exactly, I wanted the v8 power in a luxury platform. I was leaning towards a 5 series but landed in this by accident
He advertises this car well, and let's you know that this one is perfected for anyone who has a criminal mind or relying simply on thuggish ways or on future unlawful intentions.
Basically a getaway car.
This is a very thorough and professional review. Extremely helpful, thank you!
Awesome review, Alex! Always a great job and in depth. Cheers.
That was some of the best deadpan ever. Never expected that from a car reviewer.
Car is a straight beast, this is not your regular run of the mill Chrysler 300, these are rarely seen on the road. Would love to have one.
Great review! I really like the 300 SRT8 and I feel you did a great job going over the vehicle.
Wow, what a very well put together review

good now the bodies i put in the back will be more comfortable
Best review I have watched on any car!
This guy makes the best reviews! Longest month in deprh
Best reviewer in the business. Nice review as always.

I put 65,000 miles on my first SRT8.
Oxygen sensors go around 50,000.
Tires go much, much faster.
The Chrysler 300 is better looking then all them other cars you mentioned!
I expect to see a trunk score on every car you review.
Nice to know I can buy a spare tire for my car
yes...because i really need that extra "head and leg" room in the trunk......
good review tho other than that
😂😂😂🤣
Yes u do.. a spare tire
I love hearing that engine growl on this video.
10 years ago, I buy a 13' Chrysler 300 sedan.
How has it been as far as reliability? I'm considering buying one. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

this car is is one sweet whip. the john varvatos 300c is nice too
looking good with the set of 20s
2006 300 SRT8 with well over 100k, runs perfectly and hasn't had a single problem.
I just love these cars, gremlins and all.
Great review! Please do the 2011-2013 Lexus IS F
Best review I have ever seen!!!👏👏👏👏
Thorough! Great job Alex!
honestly the best review i've watched... ever... Awesome job!
There's more room in the trunk than my first aparment. Skip ahead to 5:52, best part by far!
I like the 300 but I think the 2010 are one of the best built Chryslers of all they're all beautiful cars.
that is some good driving man .keep up !
I own this. Driving this thing makes me giggle.
Get the 18 model. You will love it
@@mrhawk1924 sadly, they stopped making the srt in the north american market in 2014.
@@roninblax Do they still make them elsewhere? Or you meant they stopped entirely?
@@cosmic_gate476 the sell them in the middle East and Australia.
That is obviously a concern, the 300 hasn't been terrible in terms of reliability but it is honestly too soon to tell about this generation.
Excellent review...
Still one of the best American cars ever produced.
I have a 2013 challenger Srt8 and I only wish they came with the same screens and dashes these came with :/
Another great review
Amazing car. Love the trunk review lol
This vehicle is a beast, they are highly reliable Dr, Jekyll and Mr, Hyde in this. This big 4 door can move, top speed 170MPH. It's not you're regular Chrysler 300.
The Charger SRT8 is very much the same vehicle as the 300 in terms of performance and feel. The Super Bee represents a better value at $42,625.

Is the str8 the only one with no chrome ? Beautiful care besides the chrome on the trunk
Hey I'm thinking of buying one. Any thoughts now that it is a couple years old?
I just bought one, the same on this video. Its a beast. You turn off traction control and it screams
I owned a 2006 5.7 300c an it had 60k on it, water pump went out an I replaced it. also was showing signs of electrical problems with the windows. other than that no problems
Alex you have aged well and please don't bring back the sport coat but the shades are slick.
I like how he reviews the trunk's comfort. Like the audience aim for the 300 is for kidnappers who like to keep their victims comfortable in the trunk.
