The old man humor was great on Inside the NBA but from what I heard they really don't even watch the games. The fun was just them goofing around and pranking eachother. I'd say heated debates have taken over. Same with first take and undisputed. Those guys can't say what they really want to because they have to be super professional on TV.
Ernie is the one who said he won’t leave Turner Sports for any amount of money.

Honestly its already starting to become saturated. Not to mention a lot of those guys don't have entertaining personalities and miss the entertainment aspect. Imo Lebron's Shop and the one he did w/ reddick were boring asf.
I don't know anyone with a cable box. We are moving away from that. In the modern era, we turn on our TV and instantly open a streaming app using a smart TV, roku, firestick, etc.
The NBA looking at this as, if they want to give us the cash cool. Amazon is the one not looking at this through the right lens. They must not be paying attention that it was the Inside guys who made the show not the show it's self. Now if they just wanted to spend money ok but somebody don't know their business. If they did, they might have came out cheaper trying to get the people, not the show.

We have already seen them mix and match different players, different personalities and it's not the same, not even in the same realm as the current group.

TNT had the same exclusivity window to negotiate as ESPN/ABC. At the time the WBD/TNT CEO said, “we don’t need the NBA… “. They let the window expire. They are only suing to have Amazon or NBC take over a year earlier so WBD can save $1.5 billion. Also, Amazon uses the entire NBC studio team and producers/cameramen to do NFL. They hired the entire team from Showtime to do Boxing. Announcers and all. They will hire entire out of work TNT team to do NBA. Those behind cameras and in front.
NBA is ready to follow the NFL media model and media landscape itself is changing

They don't have full understanding of the situation. They forgot to mention ESPN/ABC got the A package NBCgot the B and Amazon got the C package.
Streaming is not the future, it's the present, cable viewership is down, that's why they went with NBC which is on broadcast TV as well as ABC.

Like all fans, I will miss Inside the NBA. But Charles is not telling the entire story. Everybody should go listen to his interview with Dan Patrick. TNT knew they may lose the rights and the head of the Network basically said they did not need the NBA to survive. They waited til the last minute to make an offer after the initial agreement with NBC/ESPN/Amazon had already been made. TNT came in at the last minute matching Amazon and the NBA denied it. Charles is looking at it from the media side and not a player, like he used to be. The NBA has to do what’s best for the business because of the contracts these players are getting. Charles would be singing a different tune if he was still a player. He said in the interview that TNT signed him to a 10 year contract worth 210 million and he is on 3-4 years into it. But said he will not give any of it back because TNT messed up. So yes, it is about the money. Nobody watches TNT, let’s be honest.

NBA kicking out the Best NBA show the show that got the best ratings for NBA games on them nights is crazy. They think they to big for TNT but thats kicking out fans.
