But your love is one of those examples of knowing God put two people together. Even through the twist of basketball being a part of both of your lives. And Grant, your testimony made me feel closer to God today in my own way. Thank you for the courage to share it. Wishing you both the best and most joyful journey together 💗

I have to say that seeing Madi’s conviction on the bachelor and how she spoke such truth really moved me. The bachelor has been accepted as normal, particularly the honeymoon suite which always made me feel gross and weird.
I grew up with no religion at all and I’ve seen and felt the deep pain of that. I never ever thought I would be Christian. To me it felt like so many ‘rules’ and specific limitations that I couldn’t imagine a God who made his children jump through hoops to avoid hell.
But it’s actually been through seeing the people I admire most live good lives and share undeniable truths. These people never pushed Christianity but as I learned more about them, I learned they were Christian. This made me take a second look - I realized that all of the people I admire most are Christian.
Only a couple months after this exploration, I saw Madi speak truth that I had always felt in my heart but felt guilty for believing on the bachelor. I saw the meek counter arguments that other people on the show had and my faith was strengthened.
I am sure it wasn’t easier for her but she says God called her to do that and honestly, I can see why. It was such a beautiful act of courage and I am sure many people felt that truth the way I did.

My only question from Madi coming from a Christian, it’s not the fact that she went on the show, but she actively dated a man who said he was not a Christian, and was the sex positive bachelor. I remember her even saying she’s open to dating non Christian’s. So unless she just wanted to get the fame from it why did she stay on that show and date someone who didn’t align with her beliefs at all?

    • @MalloryNewcomb

They don’t know who the Bachelor is going to be when they apply. Idk if they’re locked in by the time they find out who the Bachelor is.
She didn’t imagine she would get to stay for that much of the season when it came to Fantasy Suites.
I agree that unless he came to a change of heart (on his own), they were not going to be compatible.

Ngl some of the things they said in this interview were worrying to me. I hope he’s not the type to swing wildly back & forth in his convictions as so many are because Madi’s been walking this walk her whole life. He says he’s the one leading her in faith in this relationship but it couldn’t be clearer that it’s the other way around.

    • @deidremsibi571

If the Son sets you free you are FREE INDEED! no it’s not a risk for her, Jesus doesn’t do half work! He set Grant free forever, as a Christian you should just pray for them and their marriage, there’s no need for any negativity or commenting on his past…have faith in Jesus’ redemption power, cover them in prayer and keep it pushing 😊

Talk to women who’ve walked this path with other Christian’ men who they thought were on the straight and narrow. Aww. I think they are doing a good job being authentic. Marriage isn’t always that hard.
But….. they have been going through most of life’s most stressful situations and this may be their journey. That’s ok.
Learning to be vulnerable is tough, but worth it. It sounds like they have a lot to figure out. But, I appreciate them putting it all out there. Keep up with the therapy. Throw away the should’s of life and focus on your relationship with yourselves, each other and God. Don’t be afraid to say no to things. You guys are enough just being yourselves. And ask for help if needed.
