This was my first time attending RCCC and my first artist alley ever! So because of that I really have nothing to compare it too haha, but I definitely agree that the staff was awesome and honestly I had so many great interactions with people and other fellow vendors! I feel like for a AA newbie it was overall a positive experience, but I'm sorry it was slow for you 😓🤍
That's a bummer that the event was so slow! I was at this event in the artist alley and things went well for me. I did talk to quite a few other vendors (artist alley, makers market and exhibitors) and overall, most people said the event was slow. A vendor friend who has retail experience said the beginning of September is usually slow for the retail industry. Since RCCC moved the show to earlier in the month (last year it was later in September), maybe that is one of the main reasons why it was slow for so many. I hope your next con makes up for this slow event. 🙌
I'm so sorry to hear the show was slow, especially for such a well-known con. But your booth looked amazing! I love how you adjusted the display each day to make sure everything was seen (that's definitely a mood). Props to you and your mom for doing everything you could to make the best of it. Hoping the next shows make up for it!
Thank you for the insight of this con in your perspective. ComicConHNL was so slow as well and it was only bareable cuz most of my friends where vending. But hope you make bank next con girlie
I'm so glad that I met u this weekend!! 😊 I was the one in the monokuma kigu and slippers. 😅 I'm so sorry to hear that it was so slow for you....The con was definitely massive and I had to use the map to find you, and luckily saw the flag. Can't wait to see you again at Kumoricon! 😁
I actually had one of my most successful Saturday's ever at a con. I was in the pride alley in a really good spot at the front though so I think that helped. I also sell sapphic comics so I wonder if the crowd was more into that?
rose hasnt been the same since covid. the area is a shitshow now, where it used to be a very busy business area with a lot of people just walking around. id sit the show out a few years.
This was our first RCCC and we’re not sure if we’ll be returning! Friday was shockingly bad and we barely made table by the end of Sunday. It’s such a bummer because it was so well organized overall! I’m really not sure what they can do to improve attendance and getting people to spend money.
I have absolutely no idea why it was so bad this year. I have been told a few theories but it really was odd and most people I know said it was their worst. It made people feel horrible about their art. I did about half as well as I hoped for :( disappointing because I spent a long time preparing.
Daiso really is the backbone of all vendor/artist displays
What would I do without u Daiso.
I’m sorry to hear it was slow for you this year 😢 I was thinking about applying next year since I felt the FOMO w so many mutuals vending
If you do apply stick to AA!

I'm glad your first experience was positive!!

You're the GOAT. Thank you for helping me get the tablecloths done!!!
I know you were going through all the things the products were on but it was nice seeing all the product up close as well haha
Of course! You can see it better over on my IG :)

Hope the next show is better for you! Thanks for sharing your experience. I also enjoyed the walk thru of your display. I'd be so lost without Daiso!
Same, all hail Daiso.
It was sooo slow 😩 I pretty much paid them to sit HAHAHA Happy to have seen you though!! Good luck with your next cons!
Very expensive weekend of people watching 😭

Thank god I had the flag. Thank you so much for coming by despite the maze of vendors 😭 See you in November!!!

Congrats on having an awesome Saturday!!

100% agree, it was so well organized and I had no problems with load-in, check-in, arriving every day and load-out!
The slow grind of RCCC 😅

Gorl, stop spinning the camera movement is making me seasick 😅😅😅 I’m jealous of people who don’t get motion sickness 🥲
Sorrrryyyy. I was trying to minimize the amount of clips where I'm moving a lot.
ITS SO TRUE. once you have a corner booth…an in-line booth is just insulating 🥴🫠
I'm a slave to corners booths now.
