My letter! At the 7:30 mark! I was 15 years old when I mailed it!

You are a part of television history. I'll bet as a 15-year-old you were through the roof when you saw your letter answered on air. I would have been.

@@allendracabal0819 ha ha I wouldn't go that far but I was completely thrilled, yes. I actually missed it being read but someone stopped me in the hallway at school the next day and said "hey my older brother told me that David Letterman read your letter on last night's show!" Luckily that older brother taped it. I've only ever seen the segment twice since because we had to return the tape!

I've actually had my Late Night tee for over 20 years. No holes or anything, though the print faded a bit. However, I didn't wear it so so much over the years because my Dad got it for me when we went to the studio and I knew I wanted to keep it forever.

That wasn't a knife fight that was a knife argument.

I like how Dave's blue card for Letter #5 includes a prompt for him to ask Paul about the actor-singer, and he accidentally read it for a second time at 7:27. Cute.

It is indeed. He worked on both Dave’s 1980 morning show and then Late Night until 1990.
After leaving The Tonight Show as Leno’s announcer, he did a few voice-overs for Dave’s Late Show.

"Actor /singers" should, in a perfect world, be considered "heroes" as they too rush towards danger unrecognized among other first responders. Unlike ourselves, the common cowards and filth that society has little respect for. It really chaps my a$$ that they are not given their due at every opportunity along with the others in the previous 2 decades. No disrespect intended to those already receiving praise. I simply want to acknowledge the "actor/singer" contribution which has been continually overlooked by the media when the chips are down

I gotta know if these letters are real. Many come from Canada and I know Canada loves Dave. I wish I could come up with a funny set up but this is the question I’d ask here and now…I love your interview with President Zelenskyy (I kinda have a huge crush on him). Would you interview Putin if he gave his consent? That’s the one I want to see. I want to see him answer your questions.
